I'd say THT, as it is the least best of those amazing tracks. The production doesnt help it much, though it sounds much better live. What is everybody's biff with the production on HC? It sounds a hell of a lot better than a lot of DBTT. Maybe slightly bland, but much better than the trebly awfulness of DBTT or the mushiness of BHN etc.

Really suprised about the way this poll is turning out. I think bag it up is brilliant. Once again I'm in monority. Bag It Up is in my top 20 list. So no one like Dig Out Your Soul then. How minor am I when THT is frequently in my top 10 list? ;D

These are all very strong tunes but I would go with Turn Up The Sun. Surprised Bag It Up is top - I think it's a brilliant tune. Love the ending to that one.

Never really thought about how strong the openers are on Oasis album.
TUTS...but it's a very strong category. Some of Noel's best tunes.

THT its not really bad but it is a little dull and doesn't get my adrenaline pumping like the others. Picking the best would be tough I love RNRS's message and its the perfect way to open DM, love the whoish outro but I also love the psyched out glam swagger of Hello.

I'll go with THT. One of Noel's weakest melodies imo and also one that just doesn't pack the punch. Which is unfortunate because even the worse Noel song has a great melody when one plays it bare bones on an acoustic guitar, but THT is one of the few Noel songs that I sparingly play and can't stand to play.

My vote is Hello. Not because it's a bad song, but because the rest of the album was so amazing that I feel like the first track was the weakest compared to the enormity of the others. I'd say the best opener is Rock n Roll Star. It's just a great intro to their first album..

No contest for me, FITB all the way...never been a big fan of the song. This list just goes to show the quality of the opening song on their albums and how much weaker this one is as a whole.
Worst order: 1. Fucking In The Bushes 2. Bag It Up 3. Hello 4. Turn Up The Sun 5. Rock N Roll Star 6. The Hindu Times 7. D'Yer Know What I Mean?

Turn Up The Sun. The chorus just doesn't seem right to me.

Bag it up is quality in it's own sense, put it up against other openers though, it's shite.

This may sound funny, but I don't have a problem with any of the album openers. They're all fine to me at least.

FITB with out a doubt. How is Bag It Up and The Hindu Times leading this poll.
FITB is an instrumental with film quotes in there for effect. It might be the laziest excuse for an opening ever.

You know jit I am gonna go with bag it upon, only because I always consider fitb as a lead in to a gig and I think on the lp it was more a lead in to the next tune rather than a opening tune ,,I may be wrong but that's my take

I always preferred The Swamp Song to open up gigs personally. I've always seen FITB to be Noel trying to make a deliberate break from the pre-2000 Oasis line-up, vibe, and attitude.

Can't honestly say any of these are outright bad, but if I had to choose it would be Turn Up The Sun. It just seems like so little effort went into the lyrics (I've got a piano, I can't find the C? So what?)(They are so blind that they cannot see? Duh!). Still, I continue to listen to it despite this....

FITB is the most interesting thing Noel has put on record. For anyone that voted for it.

The Hindu Times for me, it's ok but I really like all the others,
FITB or Rock 'n' Roll Star are my favourites

Bag It Up by a country mile. Set the tone for a very poor album.
