Falling Down and Waiting for the Rapture. that's it. it's a shame he didnt include at least one of them yet. again - The Fame would be mental. he surely needs to bring more energy in. Half The World Away and Talk Tonight are for acoustic sets. Little By Little was the only surprise, really. keep that one.

Supersonic is indeed magical -- even at the Philly gig, the crowd increased their participation for that one and you could hear them echo Noel's vocals. And the chorus is done really well, too. But as far as I'm concerned, I'd rather have Whatever (done in any arrangement as Noel has never done that song wrong) in there instead.
If I had to pick one song to toss, it would be IITBF. Seemingly Noel really likes it as he's been playing it live since 2006, but I just don't care for it. It just plods along too much for me. At least Mucky Fingers is very dynamic live, and when coupled with the lights, a pretty decent spectacle.
I wasn't a fan originally of the electric and much faster version of Talk Tonight, but after witnessing it first hand, I became a fan of it.
And how can anyone want to get rid of Half the World Away? I know people may have grown tired of it, but I revel in Noel letting the crowd do the hand claps - it's a classic moment that has been ingrained in all us Oasis fans since the 1990s. And since Noel is still reluctant and not confident enough to acquiesce the chorus of Don't Look Back in Anger to the American crowds (and he probably never will) HTWA provides one of the very few times Noel lets us interact with him and his songs, and that alone makes the song special in a live setting.

Supersonic is actually painful to listen to. He has all but destroyed the song.

Personally, I want to get rid of (IG)TBF and Supersonic (Mucky Fingers can go, once I've actually seen it )... And I'd like to hear a few of; She's Electric, ASGOG, The Masterplan, Falling Down, Whatever, D'YWBAS?, Magic Pie (I'm greedy, because I've never been to see an oasis song live)... He should also do Stop The Clocks, I think... BUT BONEHEAD'S BANK HOLIDAY IS A NECESSITY!!! Also, it might just be that he's thinking of adding proper screen visuals, more stuff on the stage, maybe a brass section, etc... Also, he might drop in a new AA song, to hype it up?

Supersonic is actually painful to listen to. He has all but destroyed the song. More so than Liam destroyed it with his cringe worthy vocals. Yeah, I'll take Noel's version. I like Noel's style of playing on his acoustic and at least he can still hit the notes. If there was any period that Supersonic should have been dropped from the setlist, then it was probably with Oasis when Liam ceased to be able sing it (and I use the loosest definition of "sing") consistently on a night to night version. Especially during the DBTT tour. For be, there's almost no way Noel can do Supsonic worse than many of the DBTT version.

I will take DOYS tour Supersonic over Noel's acoustic any time.

But for me, there weren't many good performances of Supersonic during the DOYS tour. On most of the bootlegs from that tour I skip Supersonic.

^^It was played at the last few gigs of the DBTT tour, in place of GGTIA.

Yes it was played, but mkoasis is right. It was toward the end.
So for my argument DOYS is probably more accurate to site. Which is what I originally tried to site. But anyways, there haven't been many "good" performances if Supersonic over the years.

TBH, I don't think much of Noel's supersonic... Not agreeing that Oasis should play it every gig, but I just don't like Noel's version. For me, Supersonic is all about the power, and how it makes you feel on top of the world, like you can take on anyone and anything... But Noel's version is a lullaby....

I agree pretty much with everyone, but, until I see Noel in Atlanta, PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE SET!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to see a Record Machine > Stop The Clocks medley since the lyrics to STC are there anyway. Also wouldn't mind Whatever, Step Out, The Fame, She Is Love, High Horse Lady, or Waiting For The Rapture. Sunday Morning Call would sound great with a choir, too bad Noel hates the song.

Thinking about it some more, I would love to hear Noel play 'Underneath The Sky' live. I know Liam sung it originally but its probably well beyond his range these days, Noel would undoubtedly sound much better singing it on his own. Really think its 'quirkiness' would suit alongside the style of The Death Of You And Me. Piano solo would sound great soo

Mega!

Mega! This will be great (even though I won't get to see it) Now we just need to guess what songs they'll be used for. Also does this mean that Stop The Clocks can be played live?

I'd just like to see him have more conviction in his new songs. He's got a very successful album, and should make this the cornerstone of the set. Especially for the casual fans that will be coming to the arena shows, many of whom might have heard the album over christmas. I'd drop IGTBF and MF as openers it's not like a casual Oasis fan will know them too well anyway, and as Oasis songs go they're not that good. Brilliant, but still not top notch.
The set I would like to see is this:
Everybody on the Run Stranded on the Wrong Beach The Death of You and Me Rockin' Chair Dream On The Importance of Being Idle Half the World Away If I Had A Gun Record Machine --- Wonderwall Supersonic Whatever --- Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks Broken Arrow Cast No Shadow Stop The Clocks --- What A Life Slide Away Don't Look Back in Anger
I think that's a good mix between a move towards promoting the HFB album and retaining Oasis , with some lesser heard and the obvious. I think Cast No Shadow and Stop the Clocks would both work brilliantly with the choir. The songs I've dropped only include TGR from HFB - I think it's toss tbh, the worst song in the HFB era. I also got rid of LBL - that's more of a personal thing, I think it's the worst song Oasis ever released! I know he said he wouldn't play Slide Away, but I don't see any reason why he couldn't play anything he played on the STC tours or Teenage Cancer Trust.

I know I'll have brilliant time at the gig regardless, it doesn't get much better than seeing one of your idols play but I think the set list could be improved a lot. Firstly I'm a massive hypocrite because I criticised Noel for playing so many Oasis songs at first. Now, I can kind of see why he done it though. I love the album but it has a good few 'nice songs if not memorable songs'' some of them namely Dream On, SBAJF, The Good Rebel are nice songs but lack a lot of meaning for me and passion which is what you want for live songs imo. Also I'd drop AKA WAL but that's a personal thing, can't stand that song tbh. Everybody is on the Run Rockin Chair Broken Arrow Half the World Away Freaky Teeth Shout it Out Loud If I Had A Gun She's Electric (casual fans really seem to love this one) ----- Sad Song Supersonic Whatever ------ Record Machine Going Nowhere Step Out The Death of You and Me ---- Stranded on the Wrong Beach Don't Look Back in Anger A Simple Game of Genius Slide Away I know it will never be close to this but I'm bored and need something to masturbate over

Heres the setlist I'd like to see:
Everybody's On The Run Dream On The Death Of You And Me The Importance Of Being Idle Freaky Teeth Half The World Away Rockin' Chair Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me
---------------------------- She Is Love Stand By Me If I Had A Gun -----------------------------
Where Did It All Go Wrong? I Wanna Live In A Dream (In My Record Machine) She's Electric Aka Broken Arrow AKa What A Life ---------------------------------
Don't Look Back In Anger (Stranded On)The Wrong Beach Simple Game Of Genius Stop The Clocks
Yes I know, that will never be!

I'd quite literally go to sleep at that gig if this were the set-list. Replacing slow paced songs with slower paced song like WDIAGW, SGOG, SBM, and LTLSALOM. I'd take two of those songs max. The rest would seriously slow down the gig imo. But to each their own.

Put LBL back in and I think I might agree. He needs to fucking play Carry Us All or One Way Road, though
