Pleasantly surprised by The Beach Boys new album "That's Why God Made The Radio". The last three songs on there are on par with the best of "Pet Sounds", and the rest are 70/30 nice summery pop tunes / tripe with superb harmonies. A good little album for the summer.

New Grizzly Bear song sounds immense! I previously wrote them off after being bored by them live, but I'm gonna give them a second chance after hearing this.

I'm really looking forward to the debut album by Two Wounded Birds which is to be released shortly. I'm also digging that new EP by The Lost Souls Club called "High Noon."

Sonata Arctica have just amazed me with Stones Grow Her Name, and that isn't hard. I'm a sucker for Finnish power metal (as with German)

Really loving these 2:
Valtari - Sigur Ros Banga - Patti Smith
I'm seeing Patti this week. Saw her 5 years ago and since I missed her last year, I'm really looking forward to it. I adore her.

Definitely agree. They had nothing to lose in my opinion after a string of dire albums, last of which were in the 90s. When Brian Wilson's head is in a good place, as it is right now, he is a genius. Thought it would be a bad idea to record an album, I thought it was just a cash in but it is a brilliant piece of pop. That's Why God Made The Radio is the biggest surprise for me this year. They've certainly treated the fans to some treats the last two years, including the Smile sessions. And saying that the last three tunes (considered a musical suite) is up there with the best of Pet Sounds is not an overstatement - these last few songs is the most impressive thing the've done since that album. Amazing for guys approaching 70.

Anyone heard Sigur Ros new album - brilliant. Not mainstream anthems but really good ambient atmospheric music to be played on a mountain top.

Just got "Valtari" a couple of weeks ago and I'm really loving it. Definitely my very favourite album of 2012 together with The Magnetic North album. I just can't get enough of listening to those two albums. Truly beautiful.

My friend recommended them to me a couple of days ago. They just released an EP with this brilliant title song. I was "sold" as soon as I heard this title song.
"Low Winter Sun" (EP) by The Dark Jokes
Hopefully will be able to see them very soon.

by this I mean, where/how - is it high quality, both in sound, and in the actual album Sound quality is 230 ~ 280 kbps. The album is very good, musics are more worked, bigger too. To me, better than 1st album, but with less impact.
