they fucked up a bunch of times, in my honest opinion...they should have released "death of you and me" as a digital single when it was played that day and should have released "if i had a gun" also as a digital release when it was played....3 week delay that part i can't understand...it's odd to know that i've only had the album for a week while everyone else has had it for a month...but that's just me. If Noel really wanted to shift some units, he'd have released 'AKA... What a Life!" as a US single. Much bigger crossover potential.

Releasing it a year after the rest of the world was just plain daft.

Were BDI's first week sales 13K?
So Noel didn't sell significantly more (only 1-2K more) but the lower chart position is deceptive. The charts are starting to heat up for Christmas and so are a bit more competitive than they had been in February. They did about the same in sales.
Too bad though. But honestly I never really expected much so I'm not shocked at all.
It'd bee nice if it could have a bit of longevity. From what I remember BDI dropped off the US chart in 2 weeks.
Wonder if he'll be playing any US festivals next year?

For all those saying America doesn't care for Oasis, didn't DOYS go top five?

For all those saying America doesn't care for Oasis, didn't DOYS go top five? I think so, my idea is that there is just not a lot of demand. I imagine you'd have to be someone like rihannna to get very high in the charts here in America

it's more about the sales than the position, so that really is bad. but the us-market has never been the place for the gallaghers

I agree with everything you say mate i think a top 20 album is a good result .I never expected a top 10 with some more promo and a few gigs he might be able to get some life out of this album
