Just hopped on Google news and went down the list of reviews. Very few positive from here in the USA. It is very clear to me now that this nation is doomed. The negative reviews all have some stupid Header the authors figure would be clever about Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds at low alltitude. I have a feeling over the next week or so I'm going to be less proud to be an American with our countries over all state as a whole. Not to mention the fact that 90% of our country is probably ripping Rolling Stone stream and will never even purchase the ablum. Im over it, not reading anymore charts or reviews just going to cont to support Noel, enjoy and be Thankful for the ablum.

It's strange how much do we (we, Oasis & co. fans) actually care about charts positions and all. E.g. just listening to some John Frusciante solo stuff and I couldn't care less how well he's doing regarding sales, he's brilliant either way (I'm quite positive none of his albums actually broke into Billboard Top 200*). And as I'm quite conscious music listener I should be thinkin' the same way about Noel and just enjoy the music - I still keep coming back and checking all those charts. The main problem is probably us, british music fans, wanting Noel to be as succesful commercially and somehow also critically in the US as in the UK/Europe/South America. I sometimes even feel tired by all this, anyone feels the same? *EDIT: Just checked, actually he's got 2, at 151 and 191, but you see the point.

Hopefully another masterpiece is on the way As for Noel, I really think "What a Life!" should be a single in the US and would really help promoting the album. Apart from being one of the best tunes on the LP IMHO it has quite a modern twist about it and the video would also help.

Piss poor. If i were Noel i would bother doing gigs in the USA. Fuck them! It'll still be top 30, which is a very hard thing to do if you're an international artist. Just look at Kasabian, their latest album was a top 10 hit worldwide but failed to even make an appearance on the Billboard 200. It really is dog eat dog in the US music industry. You either ave it, or ye don't

It's too bad... the US airwaves are just flooded with crap all day long. Noel gets 1 play every few hours on an alternative station that happens to have a DJ that likes him... there's just no way to elbow in past the Lady GaGa trash that everyone seems so fixated on.
What makes it worse is that there are tons of fans in the US, but because of poor numbers, we definitely get the shaft when it comes to tours and merch and stuff. It just sucks for those of us who want Noel to do well...

I hope he doesn't stop playing gigs over here! There are some dedicated fans that did buy the album and would love to see him play it. But really I thought he'd do much better in terms of US sales...he seems much more American-friendly than BDI as people have mentioned before.
