I don't mind the dream on lyrics. It reminds me of oasis songs where he didn't give a fuck about lyrics like the end of some might say and round are way. I do dislike the "she put an apple in my eye" in waiting for the rapture though because the rest of it is so strong.

"She put and apple in my eye" sort of makes sense in the "you're the apple of my eye" context, the phone line from take me away is genuinely terrible.

I actually love all the cringe worthy lines in his upbeat pop tunes. The "kids outside, have drunk up all their lemonade" is so ridiculous it's great. Like "then your friends will all go green for my lasagne" from Digsy's Dinner. Or better yet, the rhymes in She's Electric; "She's got a cousin, in fact she's got by the dozen, she's got one in the oven, but it's nothing to do with me". Madness!
The worst lines are mostly the ones mentioned above from SOTSOG.

I love all the verse lyrics from Dream On but the chorus, to me, seems a little mediocre by Noel's standards. But the only ones that truly make me cringe are ICSAL chorus and SCYHO first couple verses.

I think all the lines you all are mentioning are fine. What I didn't agree with was the opening of The Good Rebel "Raaaiinnn like raaaiiinn" He sounded good saying it but "rain like rain..i don't care for the sunshine.." I wasn't feeling those at first. I've grown to like the song more and it sounds amazing live from the videos I've seen but just my opinion at first.
I think it would have been better with some kind of short solo intro or just guitar melody and then begin with "Heaven helps you help you're self I hope you never change"

Also, I know I'll get hate for this, but I tink "Trying to walk in my shoes, but they don't belong to you." in EOTR is pretty terrible, particularly given how epic the production on the song is.
