Liam and his Beady Eye gang can't compete against a setlist like this. Wow! What a good mix of songs. Can't wait til he hits the states. cause liam is NOT playing oasis. my god. if he sung oasis, it wouldnt be comparable... imagine the set starting with: "Step off a train, all alone at dawn" |

sad to learn this is what went down.... can't really blame him though, the dude's just not that confident about his new material, at least not performing it live. What? He's played loads of his new material tonight, just cos he doesnt start with it doesnt mean he's not confident about it.... Lets think back to when the SOTSOG tour hit the UK we go what...3 song of that album. he didn't start off the gig with them and he definitely did not finish singing any of his new songs. What does that tell you? any objective person would have no choice but to admit the man simply feels a need to rely on Oasis back catalogue. And No, they're not "Noel songs" they are songs written by Noel, but they are Oasis songs. Ask any random person(aka not a loser noel fanboy) and they'll tell you... DLBIA ? yes, that oasis song, i've heard it. WOnderwall??? yes, great OASIS song. Supersonic??? yes one of Oasis' best songs. No one and i mean no one will ever say "great Noel Gallagher song". And yes, he's free to do whatever he wants cause he wrote those songs, he has every right to sing them, all i'm saying is it's the lazy and insecure thing to do and displays a great lack of confidence in his new material. |
