Old 97's - The Grand Theatre Vol. 2 Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds Arctic Monkeys - Suck It And See Dawes - Nothing Is Wrong Frank Turner - England Keep My Bones The Strokes - Angles Fountains of Wayne - Sky Full of Holes The War on Drugs - Slave Ambient --I've just listened through once tonight, so I haven't fully digested it, but it deserves a nod.
There are a bunch of other albums I need to listen to still, so this list will probably be quite different by year's end.

No ones mentioned Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues. Beautiful album, and the title track is one of my favorite songs of the year.

Viva Brother - Famous First Words That was hard ! You're bound to be crucified again with that choice. I was scared to put it in my list... but everyone needs to give them a break. I personally think they're great... And they're some of the nicest guys I've ever met

And they're some of the nicest guys I've ever met They talk a lot of shit, they deserve it to be thrown back at them no matter how nice they are in person. But music is all subjective, shouldn't be afraid to put it in your list if you really enjoyed it!

DGSS is a solid choice for a top 10 album.
Although personally it would never be mine, if I was born much earlier listening to different music, it could be very refreshing. (I mean, I was brought up listening to pop, where Coldplay, Green Day and Fall Our Boy are the rock acts - and I love Oasis. I found the album quite good, despite a difference in taste. If I had always loved that old rock n roll sound, I would fucking love it).
Yuck - Yuck doesn't get posted here enough IMO, otherwise most people here have the kind of taste that I would die to have people around me like.
(Although I found I'm With You a little less amazing than I had hoped, like 'Don't Believe The Truth' when you are expecting a Morning Glory (still good though), but of course, this was the RHCP - so I wasn't expecting something nearly as good as morning glory).

They were total cocks when they first started, and, admittedly, I jumped on the "let's slag them off" bandwagon... But then they just stopped... They kinda grew up in an instant... But to me, it seems like they've got a bit like "Yeah, we're gonna get stick. Just get it over with -.-"... But everyone is a bit harsh on them, TBH
