Are the NMEs the same week as the Brits? Cos he's performing there, too.

He should play Freaky Teeth. If Freaky Teeth were on the album, it would've gone over a million in sales already.

Anyone have an accurate new sales figure? Must be getting close to DOYS by now

Anyone have an accurate new sales figure? Must be getting close to DOYS by now He's at about 542,000 right now. With this new up date to his sales he should break over the 550,000 mark. So he's at about 75,000 away from DOYS. A good Brits performance should push him to double platinum and past DOYS pretty easily.

But to be fair to DOYS, it wasn't an easy listening album, it was dark, heavy and didn't had a huge single. It took me some times to really like it, at first I wasn't into it. Now I love it. HFB is more like DBTT, easy listening, mid tempo and has better singles.

Yeah, but that Toronto incident gave Oasis more promotion than any of the promotion they chould have/done would. Everyone was talking about what happened in Toronto. And I remember in America who after that realized that Oasis were actually still together. I don't think that would have been the same case with the promotion that they already had lined up. Maybe the thing that were planning to do for...was it VH1 or MTV would have helped. But that Toronto gig gave them a lot of press.

I think they were supposed to have had a couple televised appearances that were cancelled. Jonathan Ross was one I'm pretty sure. The UK didn't need to be reminded they were together. I'm sure there were more lost opportunities than we are aware of.

7 weeks in the top 10. 17 in the top 20.
Worth noting that that is more weeks both in the top 10 and top 20 than any post 90's Oasis albums except HC (which had 16 weeks in the top 10, which Noel won't be able to match and 18 in the top 20)

And we're not talking about worldwilde sales. DOYS did way better than HFB worldwide. But in the Uk, it's true this lack of promotion alongside the fact that DYOS isn't an easy album haven't help his sales in the UK.

Hs UK success has been staggering. Hopefully he can find a way to translate his UK success to more countries around the world.

Thanks gd. Hopefully the arena tour lead up to the Brits will keep it in the top 20 and the Brits will push him back into the Top 10 for the following week.
Nice to see that this album will still be going strong in March. Basically 5 months after it's initial release by that point.
