Can't wait for Heaton Park! There should be some top support acts on as well. Will be reminiscent of Oasis there in 2009.

Anybody want to take a stab in the dark at possible support acts. £60 a ticket I'd imagine they'll be couple of big acts. Noel would be amazing. No sure how id feel about beady eye.

£60 a ticket? F**king executive packages? What the f**k? That ain't The Stone Roses I fell in love with. It's like Noel has been saying recently about great bands being about more than the music, its about the people in the bands, the things they stand for. The real Roses wouldn't have stood for this rip-off - its the sort of thing they were against. Is this the same band who did their first interview for 5 years with the Big Issue to help homeless people?
I feel really sad about the whole thing. Good luck to those who try for tickets, hope you have a great time but its simply too much of a rip-off for me.
P.S. Don't get your hopes for amazing support - they always used to just use DJs (e.g. Spike Island, the entire Second Coming tour - except the last two arena dates with John Squire).

I love the first album, second coming was okay, the noly thing is ian brown cant sing that good live,i prefer his solo albums i think, all the oasis fans who've slagged off oasis saying about liam's singing,55 quid is also a rip off.I hope they make a classic album though,i'll buy it.

Hey have you seen ebay lately? they have listed some Stone Roses tickets even before the real ones are in sale... If they put up the price they will loose less to the ones who only buys to resale them and profit. Or lets put all the tickets for 1 pound and all profits goes to the wankers?...

Normal reunion tour tickets, for a band on this scale, are normally much more than 55 pounds. I don't normally defend high ticket prices, but for a band that never got the pay they deserve then I'm fine with the prices.

Supply and demand, my friend. Supply and demand. Since the reunion is going to spark mass interest, they know they can sell the ticket prices higher than usual because the interest is there to garner the sales...... I hate when people think they'e entitled to lower prices. That's not the way the world works. And in any case, the lower the price the more competition for tickets and the less likelihood you would be able to get one, in any case. And what are you blathering on about with "Noel says..."? Do you not realize his tickets are pretty pricey, too?

Just read on a website that they expect the specials to be 1 of the support acts.

Anyone who plans on missing the gig of a lifetime because they think the price is too high is an idiot. As TheImportance said, the Roses never saw a cent from any Silvertone Releases, these prices are more than justified.

They’re not losing anything from the re-sales – the touts pay face value when they buy the tickets. The point about touts is that if no one bought from them, they wouldn’t exist.

I don’t think I’m entitled to lower prices, but as you acknowledge these are over inflated prices.

One man’s freedom fighter is another’s terrorist.
You could do a lot worse than spending some time reading some of the old Stone Roses interviews from 1988 – 1990. Maybe then you’ll understand why I’m so upset about this.
Oasis are about pure entertain – you won’t learn much from other than about great music. Which is fine by me and why I love them. But you could learn things about life from the Roses’ lyrics and interviews. They could make you think about how you want to live your life and the values that are important as opposed to what you are channelled to think at school and in society in general. That’s why they are so important to so many people.
BlueJay said: As TheImportance said, the Roses never saw a cent from any Silvertone Releases, these prices are more than justified.
Everyone knows they didn’t make much from Silvertone originally but they made a shed load from Geffen. And let’s not forget they were all involved in at least the last re-issue of the album and the previous ‘Best Of’. Would they have bothered if they weren’t getting paid?
I don’t begrudge them a pay day but I’m just put-off by this very efficiently organised operation aimed solely at maximising profits. I think it’s the executive packages – which look absolutely sh*te – that’s left such a bad taste in my mouth. The point is the Roses shouldn’t – because of all the things they stand, or at least stood, for – have entered a deal which allowed such blatant profiteering to take place. They certainly wouldn’t in their first phase.
It’s just my opinion. Like I said I hope those who got tickets enjoy themselves. I’ll stick to the music, the inspiration and the memories.

Gigs, on this scale, cost a lot of money. End of. Reunions on this scale cost even more. 220k tickets sold, fastest selling gigs in the UK. The people have spoken! And if they get The Specials as support, that easily justifies 55 pounds as tickets for their own shows are as high as 40 pounds!

Can I be the first one to say I hope it isn't The Specials, because they're wank.
