I'm in S. America and I didn't even receive yet my copy of The Death of You And Me. It's insane. I can't imagine how long I have to wait for this album. |

What difference does it make to you if they want the album before it's released in their country oh it makes no difference to me, im just getting annoyed at all these comments of 'ripping the best quality', there is a perfectly good copy at the mo, why can't people just wait? Already been answered. Can't compare the two situations as you're getting it in less than a week and we're getting it in a month. |

I just downloaded real player.. I have no idea how to use it to download from that soundcloud page!
+I've said it before and I'll say it again - Plenty of fans see the leak, and want to wait for the release date. I am in the US. I already bought the album, the singles, etc.. I want a cd rip to hold me over till the vinyl is at my doorstep, which will be over a month from now.

I'm with bonkers on this one. people got a good pretty illegal copy of the album and they keep moaning for a better one.
you'll get a cd rip and then will ask for a lossless copy. yeah, yeah, you ordered it, you will buy, etc FFS it's very annoying to read the same requests in every freaking thread

I still find the whole issue humorous as I'd guarantee you that 95% of those crying their eyes out couldn't discern a 128 "rip" from a 320 or lossless. Yep, 100% correct on that.
But I've covered this ground before and backed my contention with evidence while others simply told me that "I'm crazy".
Yep- in blind testing- the overwhelming majority of music at 128 cannot be discerned from a 320 or lossless version.
What makes it even better is what people begin to contend what they "do and don't" hear between the two.
carry on, meatheads. and please spare me the drivel regarding how you do it all time time on your $200 stereos.

I'm still waiting for the cd..it's torture! It'll be worth it..haven't even listened to rubbish 30sec previews...honestly can't believe stuff I have read on this forum in the last two weeks...the madness and over reactions to leaks..now people want a better leak..worlds gone mad.

I'm ripping this stream just now, I'll tag & rename the files and have a listen to see if it's any better than what's out there. Won't be in the next few hours though as I'm watching the Spain v Scotland game.

I downloaded the source files from the soundcloud rip. The source files are the actual mp3 files from the site, not some kind of re-recording of the stream (which would further compress it) like the Simfy recordings were.
I compared the wave forms of Adams rip and the soundcloud source mp3. The soundcloud source mp3 is BETTER quality than the Simfy recording. The souce mp3s from Soundcloud are 128 kb/s, (and have very weird file names) but they are the actual file from the site, no extra compression from re-recording the stream. Even though Adams files are 320, and these are only 128 THE QUALITY IS STILL BETTER.
I'll upload the source mp3s, keep all the file names as they downloaded (they are weird, you can change them youselves), and upload to twitter. This will be the best quality until a CD rip.
