I know this might be blasphemy for a lot of members on the forum but I feel the first minute or so of this song is extremely over produced and rushed. I liked what was heard in the soundcheck version from 2009 and loved the choir/strings instrumental that came out in early August. I guess in my head I imagined a slower, more heartfelt vocal from Noel, sort of like his acoustic versions of Slide Away. I guess it is my fault for listening to the soundcheck version for the last two years. At the moment I am not really digging the sudden drums that jump in, the echo effect on Noel's voice (Nickelback-ish), or the rushed delivery. Just my opinion. I will say that the pace of the songs gets better for me once the tune gets rolling in the middle. I will be exited for any future radio or acoustic show performances of this track. It would be awesome if he had an acoustic studio version of the song as well. Sorta like the 'Where Did It All Go Wrong?' acoustic promo that came with some US versions of SOTSOG. Overall I really like the album. Strong debut. Can't wait for the AA album.
