If Noel had given these to an Oasis album, what songs would Liams Vocals have been on?

Also Record Machine for sure. Maybe even EOTR. Noel would do the harmony parts for both those songs though.

Dream On, Broken Arrow, RM, EOTR (mostly cause it opens the album...and Liam's voice has always opened an Oasis album), IIHAG, WAL, and SOTWB.

Definitely EOTR, i mean that song is awesome as it is. a 8.5 for me, with Liam on vocals it'd be nearly a 10.

Imagine a Liam / Noel harmony on the "let your love lay me down" bit in Stop The Clocks. That would be majestic.

I've never been one to imagine how Liam would sound if he sang Noel sung songs, I just stick with who sings it first and usually stick to it.

From 2009 onwards when you hear a new Noel Gallagher written song Liam Gallagher should not come into the equation.

Who cares?
Noel's voice is far superior to Liam's now anyway, i don't get all this Liam would sound great on EOTR etc, he simply couldn't sing half of the songs that Noel writes these days.
If this was back in the day then yes - you could justify debating how great Liam would sound on NGHFB, but his latter day lennon wannabe voice is quite embarrassing, his voice has no longer got any originality to it, like it used to.
Still love them both though
And i still havent heard the full NGHFB alboom.

People who are saying hear that Liam couldn't sing any of the songs are not fair. Listen to how he is singing with Beady Eye lately. He's singing better than ever and he's touring for almost a year already now!
He would sound amazing on a lot of the songs.
But this thread is still stupid. What if? Just be happy with what you've got. No point in complaining about everything.

More like true, Liam could sing alot of Noel's new songs but they would have to be completely dropped a few keys for him to do so, i mean he couldn't even sing My Big Mouth in its normal key. Im not bashing him i'm just telling the truth, he is sounding great with BDI but the songs on DGSS fit his voice nicely.

Better than he was for the last few years yes but it's still terrible.

It would still be better cause it has Liams voice. And the album would still be better cause it would have more variation.

I just can't stand the bashing of Liam as if you can't be a fan of Noel if you don't bash Liam. Not saying you, but some of you on here seem to think/act like that.

I'm not saying there aren't singers out there that sing better than Liam, I'm just saying I still prefer his voice, sound, power, passion and attitude to most other voices out there.

Fair play I personally route for both of them as they collectively have brought alot to my life, they are like a beloved football team to me, even more so, so i guess when i hear a bad Liam vocal my criticism is from more of a guardian sense (weird, but the only way i can describe it) I dont bash Liam, but i wish he would stop the Lennon obsession of his current voice ala The Roller, Liam always had something original about his voice but these days its just like he is trying to copy Lennon Anyway, i havent heard NGHFB yet, Broken Arrow sounds interesting, from what people are saying

From 2009 onwards when you hear a new Noel Gallagher written song Liam Gallagher should not come into the equation. That's how it should be, but you can't help it sometimes. When I heard the line "I'm gonna take that tiger outside for a ride" the first thing came to my mind was imagine if Liam sang that.

As I already said in other threads, I think he would sound amazing in Dream On (especially in the chorus). Not so sure about EOTR

i think liam takes noels songs up a notch. there's certain songs he couldnt sing, but i personally think if he sang everything except for what a life and the death of you and me it would have taken those songs to a higher place.
i've listened to the album 3 times and am not really digging it. I think record machine is worse than the demo. dream on, jesus freaks and stranded on the wrong beach are very average. what a life is growing on me, but not a great album.
