My two cents:
It's a total chill tune. Great to take a load off and just sit peacefully on the coach for a breather. Love it actually. Well done, Noel!
I do understand why it is not on the album though, it is quite low key in comparison to the already released tunes off the album.

I'm hearing Falling Down in this from 2:35 "You can leave..." same chords maybe? I'm going to have to try and work this one out, but it certainly won't sound the same with just an acoustic guitar.

Again: what was Noel thinking!? I'm suppose to be on a hiatus, but I can't read this anymore. The reason this song is not on HFB, quite frankly has nothing to do with the quality of track, but rather the pace of the album. This album will not be a long album of course, but it will be one with a lot of slow paced songs . I don't think that there will be a lot of fast paced songs. And he may a need whatever fast paced songs that already on the album to break up the slowness of what might be the other tracks. WAL is somewhat plodding. But it also might be one of the few fast paced tracks he has. Why take a fast paced track and replace with one that is slow? At some point you need songs which will work within the context of the album. For once I agree with Noel in terms of the tracklisting. He's right to have WAL there instead of AOTR. I think the better question is why he released the track at all, instead of saving it. |

Yeah this song is great. No idea why it was released though. The promotion for this album started great with TDOYAM video and the lead up to IIHAG on KROQ but it's become a bit of a shambles if you ask me. A random song being released, the IIHAG video released without any promo and which can't be viewed in some countries. The WAL hard copy single not coming out till the album is released. What is going on?

I think AOTR is probably in the same vein as WPTWOTWOMS. It definitely sounds like it could be on a movie soundtrack or something.

Wow this tune is beautiful. Fabulous production. Its got that chill Radiohead early coldplay vibe but it has that classic Noel melody. It's ambient but has that old school bass sound and thump. The drums are light and jazzy. It's the third best tune after IIHAG and TDOYAM. I would love to hear more stuff like this from Noel.
