Noel's mentioned a bunch of times how this album is supposed to be an "album from start to finish". In that sense, I've gotten the impression that the album, although it'll probably be really good, will sound extremely Oasis-ish judging from the songs we've already heard. This song is fucking amazing. Really haunting. Not gonna lie, I had a feeling Noel was going to make a big mistake like this. But this gives me hope for his second album (not the AA one...the followup ) Noel always makes this kind of mistake. I literally have no idea why he undervalues clearly great songs in place of average ones. Does my head in.

Not sure why so many people slag off AKA...What A Life! The mix of it being talked up (just read TIME magazine saying it was miles ahead of anything off DOYS) and the fact that it actually doesn't do anything. Not a real dance/party song, not a rock song, just a beat with some Noel thrown in. And much as he's awesome, his voice alone doesn't justify a song/album in any way. (Liam's voice is arguable, but thats a completely different matter from High Flying Birds)

Does anyone else think this would be a cool "secret song" on the album?

Tried to do the right thing by Noel and actually purchase the mp3 via the Amazon link but they don't want to sell to anybody from my country. Will just wait to it goes to youtube I guess.

Not sure why so many people slag off AKA...What A Life! It starts off promisingly but goes absolutely nowhere. In fact, it somewhat regresses as it becomes more dull as it goes on. The riff at 1.10 is awesome and boggles my mind why it wasn't developed and/or brought back later on in the track. It sounds good. I don't hate it. It's not like TNOR or ABWR or PYMWYMI, etc where I'm annoyed by just the thought of it and angry by the sound. But it just doesn't live up to what it could have and probably should have been. Rope is much better than Life. Much better.

Surely it's Fight/Fall? in line with the boxing theme? On the rope? I thought it was going to be a boxing theme from the title too. On the ropes. But it seems to actually refer to hanging on a rope in a precarious place. Hence there is no boxing theme. I think smile/fog makes way more sense.

if i had a gun is considered by only those in Milwaukee as the worst song of the bunch. it has a great chorus, but nothing else. In all seriousness, what is wrong with you? IIHAG is a classic in every sense of the word. Love the drumming cresendo as the chorus kicks in. Love the added guitar part on the final portion of the song. Great lyrics and emotion. The production could have been better, sure, but that's nitpicking, really. The production on SMS is shit, but that doesn't mean it's a bad song...... If Noel can top IIHAG on the album, then it'll be an stunning album. I'm expecting him to, too, with the likes of EOTR, RM, DO, etc

This guy is clearly a genius.... Enjoy all the good time we have... in 20 years we'll not have the opportunity to listen this kind of thing... So fucking proud to tell to my child I was in Wembley Stadium for the last big Oasis show and for Noel Gallagher in London.

So fucking proud to tell to my child I was in Wembley Stadium for the last big Oasis show and for Noel Gallagher in London. Yeah, one day it will all end. That's the only good thing about the split: That both Gallaghers have continued. They both could have so easily just called it a day. They have enough money not to need to do it anymore. But thank god they have continued. I took Oasis for granted, thinking they would be around for a long time. The split has made me realize that they aren't getting any younger and we need to cherish their output for as long as it lasts. Don't even want to think of the day it ends.....

Oasis were around for about 18 years, which is much more than most bands last these days. I think we all knew they would sooner or later.

Can't imagine the day when I read on my iphone the death of NG or Liam. Could be a very shocking time for me and for you I imagine... Anyway ! that's not the subject ! Can't wait for the live in london ! 15 Times played on my itunes, and I'm started thinking this track is the best track from NG.
