Need more. Sounds like Gas Panic to me when the vocals kick in, though.

Can you imagine how MENTAL the board would have gotten if this is the first version we heard?

Love the sound, don't like the voice (so far of course, it's just two lines ). Does this mean we get some of the songs twice? edit: do yourself a favour and skip my comment about the voice, it's nonsense, it's just two lines so I'll need to hear more of it

Sounds really good. Not sure what's going on here though, I thought the Amorphous Androgynous album was different songs? Saying that, there's no melodic similarity so it might just be the same lyric and nothing else.

Like the sound, don't llike the voice. Does this mean we get some of the songs twice? We are getting 3 HFB tracks rerecorded and 10 original tracks. Watch the yahoo videos in the press section.

I very much doubt this is legit, they wouldn't have managed to arse up spelling Amorphous Androgynous for a kick off.

^It wasn't posted officially, so that's not an issue.
I think this could be a completely different song with bits of IIHAG stuck in - that's what the AA were doing, yes?

Thats more like it Noel! Where did this come from? B-side? I can imagine Gaz from the AA to have passed a few copies round being the free spirited hippy he is meaning there could be a leak...

If it is a fake, kudos to whoever is responsible b/c it's would be a damn good fake. Note how Noel's vocals don't match the melody of the original. Thus someone simply didn't just overdub the studio version on to a psychedelic track.....

^It wasn't posted officially, so that's not an issue. Well the person who got the "leak" would have received a file called "IIHAG - Amorphous Androgynous version" or something similar, I can't see the person leaking it getting AA's name wrong and you'd have to be pretty daft to manage a transcription error when the files already named for you.

For you tech people, does software exist to fake vocals like this? In other words, can someone use the original Noel vocal and change the melody completely? It's like I'm 97% sure it's Noel singing, but there is just a sliver of doubt in my mind

^It wasn't posted officially, so that's not an issue. I think this could be a completely different song with bits of IIHAG stuck in - that's what the AA were doing, yes? Noel said they were rerecorded not remixed I thought he said they put elements of different songs together in ways he didn't expect. That can be done with rerecorded material as well as with the originals. All I'm saying is that we have a clip with very little to tie it to the original song, and given that it was (apparently) produced by the AA it could be something completely different. Lyrics can easily be taken out of context - after all, the RM demo has a line from STC in it. The file I got from mmario here (which I assume is the original) is named "iihagr" - there's no name there to misspell. And yes, I do realize that this undermines the Different Song Theory a bit, but you never know.

I don't like this psychedelic stuff. Why Liam and Noel are so obsessed with it is beyond me.

if this is real, based on the short clip I'm not liking it that much.
Probably because we know the other version of the song already. I'm down for a tripped out sound, but the other version all the way. It may be good once we hear the whole thing. It was a bit much, but although refreshingly different

I've always been a big believer in the "serve the song" production mantra. Meaning it's important to arrange and record the song in a way that highlights the strength of the song, not the production. This snippet sounds like the AA guys trying to impress each other in the studio.
The melody being completely changed is proof of this. The melody had to change to fit what they wanted to throw on the track when it should always be the other way around.
Whatever, it's a small snippet. Hopefully the songs on this album aren't all stifled.

So after my 3rd listen, it reminds me a bit musically of something off Urban Hymns but I can't put my finger on what.
