After i heard the full version my first rating doesn't change 7/10.I gave it that rating only for the potential the song has and would never fulfill,sadly....

i'll give it a 7/10 for now. i don't think it will grow that much. i think in the end it will end up on a 6/10. still 4 good songs by noel

Can't rate it yet. I have to hear the radio edit. So this poll could either be really ugly or drastically change. I incalculated a guitar solo in my rating. If there isn't one and if it's just another "what a liiiife" then I'll make it a 5/10  ahahaha, well you we're disappointed Illiad. I had it at 7.5 before the full version, I have it 7.8/10 now. I can't give it an 8. It may be great in the context of the album, but on it's own it's the Shakermaker of Noel singles. |

I like it, but it just cannot compete with IIHAG or even TDOYAM. Good, but not great. I was expecting it to build after the bit from the advert and was really excited, but just sounds like a continuation of that and doesn't really go anywhere. Still, the album is shaping up to be pretty varied which is a good thing  |

For me it's a 7.5. It's not as bad as some people are saying, or as great as some people were saying. It's simply good. Which is fine by me. May improve subject to repeated listens.

Same as I posted in another thread:
I will say this, this songs shows how high my(all our) expectations are for Noel.
I get the feeling that if Beady Eye had released this, many (including me) would be elated with the new direction that they were taking, and how they were stretching themselves. But with Noel, it seems like disappointment.
It's interesting how standards change for one particular artist or another change.

Better than just hearing pounding and Noel's voice. |

So far the songs we've heard are B-sides to me. This album will not even be as good as The Masterplan. Sorry guys. Both Beady Eye and Noel will release B-sides and only B-side quality songs. Though I have to say Beady Eye has some good ones.

These are uninspired tunes from an insanely wealthy uninspired songwriter. Noel's classic songs were all written when he was young and hungry; we aren't going to get an earth changing tune from a middle aged content guy. So slag Liam, Gem and Andy all you want but face the fact that the Chief's best days are well behind him and enjoy His High Flying Birds for what it is. |
