This one may be immense...I'm waiting for the complete song, I want to know how it develops from there. But this has the potential to be a classic...and this album is getting further and further near to a masterpiece

this 1:30mn clip is a very limited portion of the song. From what I hear, I'm diggin' it. Can wait to listen to the entire tune.
don't like the immense assault everyones raining down on lgfaver. Thats what kinda sucks about his forum, one can't express any type of dislike for Noels work when every tom dick and harry has a fuckin coronary about it and verbally assaults their pray. Its like a fuckin angry mob. some ppl on here are like "yes men" as if they were on Noels or BE's paycheck. theres a few turds who I don't think have EVER had the balls to publicly admit to disliking something BE or Noel have put out, post Oasis. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX.
KUDOS to our Croatian member for this gem of a find. K++++

exactly, so now fans of a band that came to prominence in the 90's and put out their best stuff(songs/albums) in the 90's are saying people should reject 90's music ? absolutely hilarious stuff. Sorry but the fanboyism(impossible to keep avoiding the use of that word) from some of the regular users is more than evident and denying it only makes it more obvious. ANywho... I like other types of music for the record. I like bands that sound nothing like Oasis and i like actual singers. I can appreciate other stuff but i don't rate it as high as Oasis' best tunes. My point is this was a disappointment. I don't have to do anything, other than criticize the album as the fan that i am. If i don't like something i have every right to say so. a few other things: @excremntscream : don't waste your time, no one gives a shit about what you have to say, matter fact, no one here likes you. Actually make that, everyone here dislikes you... a LOT, lol @gdfroever: You mean like... Texans who prentend they are british and like to use words like "rubbish" or "arse"? I agree, those people are fucking pathetic. @deasy: boy you got terrible OWND. try harder next time. Texans pretend they are British? really?

Have you noticed the similarities of the beat between What A Life and the alternative version of The Turning? Or maybe I'm reading too much into it...

Did someone just mention Madonna here? The horror, the horror!! So I couldn't resist my self, and checked out the clip another time, and it definitely sounded better today. Can't wait to hear the full song

I'd like to know how I got owned when every poster after agreed with me in saying this is a completely different genre to 'Lady Gaga music' and many called you out on being an ignorant fuck (which you are). Feel free to have a music taste the size of a peanut and dislike all music that involves a certain type of sound (What you are saying is similar to saying "All music involving a guitar is exactly the same"), but don't force that opinion down on us as a fact. You are turning into an awful fucking troll these days. Stop posting and go back to raising your own karma like a good little boy.

i don't hear lady gaga or madonna on this. madonna does casual dance music. nothing special. and tbf i like lady gaga. she's a great artist and very talented. i don't turn down the volume when she comes up. but aka.. what a life doesn't sound like her too

There isn't an ounce of Madonna or Lady Gaga in this song.
It reminds me of New Order and a particular Charlatans remix...

Madonna is being mentionned because Noel said in an interview that he was surprised of himself writing a 'dance' track and he thought of giving it away... to Madonna. Don't know why Lady Gaga is brought up though.. Sounds nothing like the two of them.

I think it sounds like they could have mixed the chourus with the outro, the end of the ad sounds like the start of an outro to me.

Just watching Sky Sports news channel there and it came on! I had to rewind it to be sure. Then came on the board and found what I had missed! Sounds like a great tune though, a real grower with some good lyrics. Another advert to add to very few in the UK either Gallagher brother has done. A shame it features Rooney though! Noel must have got a mint to premier the song with Vauxhall, but if it is going to be a single then it is a masterstroke of publicity!! I am a big Charlatans fan anyway & It's all good

The advert is edited even heavier on Sky, or the one I saw before was.
It plays the first two lines and then cuts straight into the What A Lifeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee's.
I'm pretty sure this has a lot more doors to be opened once we hear the full version though.

I haven't listened to it yet. I've heard 3 brand new Noel's songs so far and with this one, I'm going to make an end of my preview listening until the album comes out. Loving "If I Had A Gun". I'm really looking forward to the album.

If he doesn't like the song, okay. He doesn't like the song. If you actually feel like he has some unbendable will, or he has it out for Noel, and he dislikes everything, then why are you commenting? So what he has a different opinion, so do you. That's a forum. It's discourse. Not everyone is suppose to like everything. And no one is required to even like somethings. I'm not defending any of lgfaver's points and I don't agree with his evaluation of WAL , but I do feel that people could learn how to communicate their thoughts better without using insults (lgfaver included).

Yeah I reckon the last two 'What a life' are from the end of the song. Everything up to that bit though I'd say is unedited.

To be fair, the reason I got annoyed with him is because he has no understanding of music genres and called people fanboys (once again, did the same for TDOYAM) for liking the track. I'm sorry if it came across that I got annoyed due to him dissing Noel (Which he didn't). That wasn't the case. Heck, I was dissing Noel when he released The Good Rebel. I have come to the conclusion that that is Noel's worst song in 10 years or so.
