I loved it but the old lyrics were much much better! "Forgive me if I spoke to soon" is better than "excuse me"... I agree, Rita. I like "forgive" better as well but the song is fantastic.

Hmm... Still a decent tune though. holy fuk really reaching with that one. why don't you just say strawberry fields forever while you're at it? It's a pretty obvious rip-off actually. Not that that's a bad thing, but it is pretty obvious.

Am I the only one that absolutely loves the way he sings "my eyes have always", just that slight difference from the soundcheck version makes all the difference.

forgive sounds better but i'm still in awe of this melody and I love the electric guitar in the background and bit trippy and adds more to the song instead of it just being a typical acoustic ballad but I think he'll perform it stripped down at somepoint and we'll get to hear the haunting effect of the soundcheck version (maybe kinda like the Alt version of WFTR) but I'm glad he added some balls to the track to such an amazing and delicate melody.

Listening to it over again, it reminds why Noel will ALWAYS be so great. The man has always had an amazing gift for melody. Even if you aren't a fan of his work, chances are you'd be humming his choruses all day after hearing any given song. That's what Beady Eye is missing. Those soaring melodies.

I loved it but the old lyrics were much much better! "Forgive me if I spoke to soon" is better than "excuse me"... Exactly! Also, he shouldn't have changed the melody in the "my eyes have always" line. After first few plays: 7/10 for the song, 6/10 for the production.

it's hilarious whenever someone aligns a new tune with one of the 25,000,000 others that exist and label it a blatant "rip-off". Rock On ------ If I Had A Gun. Clearly a case of plagarism.
