And that's a good thing, in my opinion. They still are an amazing live band. The fact that they aren't the same band making the same music as they were ten years ago shows that they're willing to change, which is why I think the "American Oasis" title that was previously mentioned is inaccurate and unfair to The Strokes. At least in my experience, interacting with their fans online, in person, and at concerts, they've shed their older fan base and found a younger one that is more open to change.
