Beady Eye. No idea, really. Miles Kane would be the most obvious choice, given they both contributed stuff to each others' albums, but he's busy touring on his own at the moment. I doubt it would be anyone big like Kasabian seeing as it's only NG's first tour and the venues are pretty small.

Don't know who's supporting Noel, but what about those rumors of Noel supporting kasabian?

I would say Miles Kane would be an obvious choice... then again it might be someone few people have never heard of... He might pinch Kasabian's support act from June and might go with someone like Modern Faces... And in reference to Noel supporting Kasabian, I have put me bets down... I said if it's an arena/ possible stadium tour, there will be 2 supports... I went with: First support: Modern Faces/ The Lysergic Suite Second Support: Noel Gallagher/ Miles Kane Anyway, back to Noel... I think he'll get either someone he's worked with or knows well... Or a band that is relatively unknown

Noel supporting Kasabian is absolutely ridiculous! As if!
He would play Don't Look Back In Anger and tear the roof off the place, as if a band would want to go on after that.
Noel is a wayyyyyyyyyyy bigger act than Kasabian, even despite it's a new route for him. he could sell out an arena himself, let alone being an opening act for those useless pricks!! I genunely can't believe people are giving this credence. As if!! What next, Macca promoting his new solo album by supporting The Libertines reunion tour?

I don't think Noel will be a support act either.
I think he can make it pay to travel around on his own so there would be no point in latching onto another group.
Even though it's a new venture being an opener for Kasabian probably wouldn't make his profile any bigger. Most people aren't going to discover Noel at a Kasabian concert.
He'll get better exposure being a headliner in smaller venues and doing interviews than a opener in an arena where he'll be mentioned as an after thought in Kasabian revues.
And for his support act I'd be rather surprised if he used Miles Kane. I think it'll be someone new that he's seen around. I'll probably never have heard of them.

Well Beady Eye were Kasabian's guests at IoW which basically means they were a support act....so don't rule out Noel doing the same as "absolutely ridiculous". And yes, I realise that that was a festival and that they weren't playing Oasis tracks.

LOL But in fairness, Weller supported Kings of Leon at Hyde Park this year... He'll get better exposure being a headliner in smaller venues and doing interviews than a opener in an arena where he'll be mentioned as an after thought in Kasabian revues. I think that if he DID support Kasabian, it will be more a repaying the favour thing, rather than getting himself publicity... I don't think he'll support them if it's an arena gig... But if it's Stadium/park gig, it's possible... And it wouldn't be so much of a "Support", it will be more "special guest"... Like, Noel would play an almost full set, before Kasabian come on... I think I would almost die if Noel played with Kasabian when I see them next!!!!!!

What do you mean repaying the favor? Kasabian repaying the favor that Noel did them getting them to open for Oasis? Or why would Noel be repaying Kasabian? Because that is how you make it sound. What did Kasabian do to help Oasis?
I have always thought of bands opening for bigger bands serving the purpose of exposing them to a larger audience. Perfect case in point being Kasabian and Oasis. People became aware and became fans of Kasabian after seeing or hearing about them opening for Oasis. But correct me if I am wrong, opening acts or even "special guests" don't get a lot of column inches in reviews. When Kasabian were coming up presumably a mention and small review after an Oasis review would have been great publicity since a smaller gig they headlined might not even have gotten covered.
But Noel can go touring around on his own and getting decent coverage in every town he visits in the UK. He'd probably make as much as he would as someone is a supporting slot just with more control over his schedule and the venues he plays. He's starting out but he already has his audience and name recognition even amongst those that aren't fans.
I just don't see it being as a big a draw to Noel to open for Kasabian since he is able to do it on his own. He doesn't seem in a massive hurry to get to Stadiums.
I don't think it's out of the realm of possiblity for him to support @ a massive super-gig. But I doubt it...and I can't seem him following them around.

Weller supported KOL to tap into their demographic.
Noel doesn't desperately need to advertise his music to Kasabian fans so badly that he'd support them.
As i say, this is a guy who's B-Sides are getting radio airplay exclusives still.
The notion that he would be the opening act to warm up the crowd for Kasabian is just laughable.

No band could go on after Noel has played DLBIA and Wonderwall. If he did support Kasabian (which would be fucking awesome...) he'd have to do a set of new songs imo.

There are a lot of anti-Kasabian people on this board :/ No band could go on after Noel has played DLBIA and Wonderwall. If he did support Kasabian (which would be fucking awesome...) he'd have to do a set of new songs imo. I think he'd dot that as well... and at least I have one supporter over here on the Kasabian front!!!! But yeah, he may or may not...

I mean, I have a fair share of bands I dislike. And that's because I've given them a chance and they are just total bullocks to me... But I hate it when people hate a band either just for the sake of it or because it's cool to hate them...

Inane definition, lacking sense, significance, or ideas; silly:

I'm glad you learnt the definition. You can now adjust your post above to a word other than inane so that it makes sense.

*Insert any popular modern band here* are fucking shit. The lead singer is a c.unt. And the drummer looks like a twat.
Generic live4ever forum post about another band.
