Why should I listen to them again? Do you not like my opinion or something I happen to think that they are the best first 2 albums released by a band since Oasis released their first 2 albums. I'm sorry if you cannot comprehend this and need me to listen to these albums again What about: Kasabian? Franz Ferdinand? Kaiser Chiefs? Foo Fighters? [Here, I'm not counting the very first one which is just Dave Grohl under the name... I'm talking TCATS and TINLTL] The Killers? Muse? Just saying Foo Fighters... FUCK YEAH V

Just saying Kasabian: My favourite band but, Aha Shake Heartbreak > Empire. (If their first 2 albums were the self titled and WRPLA I would agree with you) Franz Ferdinand: Next Please Kaiser Chiefs: I fucking hate the Kaiser Chiefs Foo Fighters: Nope The Killers: Back end of Hot Fuss and a few tracks on Sams Town are weak Muse: Showbiz is one of their weaker albums (in my opinion)

Just saying Out of all the albums released there, Franz Ferdinand's debut is lightyears ahead of anything on that list - I like all the other artists, though I don't think any of them have a classic to be honest. But yeah, Franz Ferdinand's debut is a great slice of classic indie pop. Absolutely fantastic album.

I thoroughly enjoy Kings of Leon's first two.
That being said, I much prefer Up the Bracket/The Libertines and Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not/Favourite Worst Nightmare.

I'm not the biggest fan, but both bands have followed the same carer trajectory (huge first album, arguably better second album, and "oh wait they made a third album?" third album).

They were never going to go down in the history books... But with the state of music right now, they were great... However, they're one step down from the best bands at the moment... There are thousands of bands better than Kings of Leon at the moment. They're around a hundred steps down from the best and one step away from Nickleback. don't exaggerate like that. Nickelback are tremendously awful. Their "sound" is the worst shit i've ever heard in my life. KOL has some really cool songs. "thousands of bands better than KOL at the moment" ? come on now... just say you don't like them and leave it at that.

There very may well be thousands of bands better than Kings of Leon, I'm sure there are thousands of worse bands too. And Sex on Fire might as well be a Nickleback song. The whole concept reeks of Nickleback's awfulness; they both make rubbish music and are fronted by singers who are absolute jokes. To Nickleback's credit, they're easy to ignore. Kings of Leon are everywhere and they're all the more annoying and laughable because of that.

Alright... but seems we all agree that the last 2 KoL albums should never have existed...

If you like Rock n Roll you can't help but like the debut, unashamedly retro, full of energy with some great tunes. The second record and half of the thrid is good too. Since then they have are beyond dire though.

hmm better debut and sophomore albums than KOL's first two albums. Just in the 00's in my opinion. Not in any order
The Killers (Hot Fuss is a classic in my book I love that album) The Strokes Arctic Monkeys Coldplay The Libertines Doves Feist Hotel Lights LCD Soundsystem Los Campesinos! The National Ryan Adams Shout Out Louds Smith Westerns The Thrills and I'll just stop there but I could go on. KOL kinda like RHCP (to a less degree) is just music I grew out of. It's rock n roll but it really doesn't have any real bite, depth, or swagger to it. Their first three albums are 6/10 at best for me and their newest album was probably one of the worst records I heard last year.

I really hope they split up. It would be brilliant for modern rock music.
