I could see them releasing something else in America if they're hoping for any type of success. I can't see TDOYAM having any type of success in America. TIOBI was a number one single in the U.K., but it did absolutely nothing in North America.

Also, I'd love to get my mitts on IIHAG, it's the one I've been looking forward to since I heard the soundcheck version! I must say though, it would have to have changed a bit in overall feel to have a natural feeling ahead of TDOYAM on the record.

I think it would be brilliant to give one country an exclusive single. If Noel bills that as his exclusive debut single in the US, this could be really good. If he wants, he can go and try to build it up in the US by doing interviews with DJ's. Or if he tries to give one station in America, the first exclusive play of the single. I think that would be good too.

Some fan made a version If I Had A Gun some while ago ... some nice fitting strings on the background.
(no i'm not talking about the Everybody's On The Run symphony choir mix)

Maybe that "snowflake/star" thing that the guy on Radio 2 was talking about this morning? Not sure if we've discovered what that meant yet.

I think that would be good too. I could see If I Had A Gun being the 'Live Forever' of Noel's solo record - the one to really make you sit up and think 'wow'. It could possibly be the second single in the UK, because Death Of You And Me is released well before the eventual release of the album. Not that I'm saying I expect it to reach the lofty heights of one of the greatest tunes ever written, but they must have a lot of confidence in it if it is earmarked as a debut release for the US. |

Bookie from 102.1 the edge has told me that in 1month "if i had a gun" will be the official north american single. Don't think ull be hearing much of "the death" over here then. Cheers

I hope Bookie is right about the new single and it arriving in a month or so but just remember this guy was CONVINCED in July 2008 that the Falling Down (Chemical Brothers Mix) was the official album track. He was wrong. No way was that going to be on the album and it was obvious at the time.
