It's not bad, but compared to their first album and West Ryder which were both excellent, these songs are sounding so average in comparison. They've really got their work cut out if this is meant to be a highlight from the new album.

It falls flat. I hope this album will not be worst than Empire, although Empire had some brilliant tunes.

It was a disappointing album alright to be fair.

Anybody else read this news of LL Cool J appearing on a remix of Days Are Forgotten? How random. The b-side Pistols At Dawn sounds exciting. www.nme.com/news/kasabian/58482

It's not a horrible album, but it's by far their weakest.

British Legion for me is the worst on that track - it's a vomit inducing attempt to sound all sentimental and ballad like, which Kasabian fall flat on their face at doing here. Mind you, Happiness was a slow paced one which is fantastic.

And I don't thinkt he album is disappointing... It's better than most stuff that gets released in recent years... However, it was just average... Although I do love Apnoea... Dunno why... It's just mega for me! I think ending the album with Fire would of been way better. I agree... Although that's not to say that I would want to lose the song... I don't like the ordering after Take Aim (Except Swarfiga, before)... I think the whole album should have gone: Underdog Where Did All The Love Go? Fast Fuse Take Aim Secret Alphabets Happiness West Ryder Silver Bullet Thick As Theives Ladies and Gentlemen Swarfiga Vlad The Impaler Fire However, I would have personally have swapped Secret Alphabets round with Julie and the Mothman... And put Mothman at the start...

There are, literally, thousands of albums released between 2006 and 2011 that are better than Empire. It's a very mild from of a sophomore slump.

I personally rate Kasabian's Empire along with some shitty Snow Patrol album as the worst albums I've ever bought. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the awful Shoot The Runner with that lyric 'I'm a king and she's my queen.... BITCH!'. Fucking pile of shit.

But there are also thousands of albums that are worse. I'd say it's decidedly mediocre; nothing more and nothing less.

Wasn't this album to be an amazing piece of madness ? I remember the two first shots from West ryder.... Vlad and Underdog... that was amazing... Switchblade and Days are forgotten are boring.
