I think Serge has moved away from the importance of the actual lyrics so far... Of course he's written them to kind of make a bit of sense and sing-along-able... But I think he's gone for more of an approach of using the voice as a proper instrument. Like he's using the voices for what they sound like, not to get the lyrics across... If you get what I mean?

I suppose, but is that a good thing? I always considered some of the best parts of their tunes to be Tom's vocals. He's not the best singer, but he adds so much personality to the tunes. It's kind of lost when the vocals just become another instrument.

Nah, I see that Tom makes it his own sound, I mean if someone else sang it in their style, take Liam for example, it would sound really different. The attitude they have in their voices are nothing alike... Tom has a sort of improvisation groove and he does what he feels... but Liam always snarls... I don't know how to explain it :S

It's nice when the entire song, vocals included, blend and groove together, but I just feel like Tom needs the spotlight more (as crazy as that may sound). Like, take Fast Fuse or instance. Great tune because Tom's vocals immediately stand out from the rest of the song and take it to another level. He has a very hip-hop-esque delivery which I really love.

Tom really makes that his own... He gets right into it live... He put his hand near my face during it in Manchester! HAHA I think He'll rally take control live in Days Are Forgotten. I'd also say that it's live where he comes through rather than on record... So that's where he does his biggest chunk of work

I find every song from this new album very predictable and quite boring, except Velociraptor maybe, I think Serge shouldn't sing so much, he's got a terrible voice, while Tom's is a lot better. I hope the songs get better in the album, but I can't say I'm excited as I was with West Ryder, I loved every song that came out before it. We'll see

You never know, the whole album might grow on you

After the awful songs Velociraptor and Switchblade Smiles, I was fearing that they were gonna put out a really bad album. But this is much better. The chorus is very good. Not one of their best tunes, but a nice one.

But honestly, yo are the first person that I've heard of that doesn't like Velociraptor!... I think it's a mental tune. Especially live

Off topic here, but does Tom write any songs/planning to?
On topic, Better than switchblade but kinda sounds Linkin parkish

Off topic here, but does Tom write any songs/planning to? Yes. He does write songs... They don't get put on the album though. He said it's because they never fit the Kasabian sound and that they're always country-ish

Really loving this new track. Fantastic sounds. Can't wait for the album to come out and possibly/finally another US tour!

This is my favourite release from the upcoming album so far, however, switchblade smiles blew my head off and many others when they performed it at sheffield!
