Its over folks, I held hope, but it aint happening, not even in 10 years the way i look @ it, it's a win win twice as much music for us. you can sit at home & cry about it with definitely maybe on endless loop or you can embrace the future.

I aint complaining, just stating the obvious. These two won't do a gig together ever again. Liam hates him

Well at least the reasons for breaking up were valid and make sense and that it wasn't just because of some routine argument about the colour of someone's sweater...

It probably is over for good, because it's not only Liam that Noel had a problem with, but apparently Andy as well. That wasn't covered much in the press.

Yeah, there's no coming back now - especially if Noel's account is true, which I think it is.

I think it's over for now.
I do see them getting back together and doing another album and tour... or the tour may be a short one...
I think they will do one more album at least sometime in the next 5 years... then I think it's over.
I just really think they played so well of another.
Noel is the better songwriter, Liam the slightly better singer.
It just worked so good.
I do want one more album, but yes for now I can wait, and enjoy 2 Noel albums and BDI's debut and followup.
I do think after they each do 2 albums... they reunite in one of the biggest things ever

finally, no more Liam/Gem songs poisoning a Noel album Yes, I agree. High Horse Lady I like - it fits in with the sequence of the album well and blends into Falling Down really well. I thought the other embers tunes on Dig Out Your Soul - apart from Soldier On - stuck out like a sore thumb.

Noel will be 50. And would you really want to hear an aging Liam sing Cigarettes and Alcohol at that point in time? It's definitely over, there's been too much damage. Noel seems to want to write more experimental songs at this point in his career anyway. No point in tarnishing the Oasis legacy.

I think Liam has improved as much as he can. And he'll still probably sound rubbish singing the Oasis classics
Better off sticking to the less challenging more suitable BDI fare

It's very strange to me that people are sad they won't be able to hear Liam butcher the classic Oasis songs anymore. Aren't you all ready for something new and fresh? It's not like they came and went in a flash, they were around for 15 years for crying out loud! Get over it.

Don't know how anyone can really say 100% that Noel's version is correct, the statement after he left had errors to paint himself in a better light and Liam in a worse one.
For instance the travelling alone, that was Noel and not Liam according to Gem, yet Noel said Liam distanced himself from the band in his statement etc
No to say that it may not be true but nobody will ever know 100% as all the witnesses have something to gain by bending the truth a little.

I do see them getting back together and doing another album and tour up until today, i felt this way also (well, maybe not an album or tour, but just a couple of really special gigs) but not anymore.

actually I found most of the things he said today to be consistent with overall content of the 2009 statement. You could tell then that he wasn't happy with the rest of the band either, and he mentioned that today too.

I'm now all for the separate party's because it simply means more music and I agree "Oasis" is over for good, definitely. That's sad because it was our band, the fans band, as gay as that sounds but that was what it was and in my opinion the demise of Oasis was down to Noel and Noel only.
"5 Year Break??" ... my arse, he was in the studio the same year starting his solo album. It's fuckin' obvious he was saying this to start Liam off. Noel simply fell out of love with Oasis and the prospect of a solo album was giving him a hard on. He could've put Oasis on hold to do just that.
And BTW I was never on Liam's side or Noel's, I was on the fence and I'm still there but the evidence of the conference has made me come to this conclusion.
Rant over
Oh yeah and GDForever, I'm sure Liam could smash 'Live Forever' now the way he's singing. Your post to me, was nonsense.

Which is why they built the DGSS songs around Liam's voice. As they themselves stated. His voice is much better, but do I believe that he could sing Live Forever to 60,000 people. No. But he can sing The Roller to 2,000. There is a difference. If Live Forever were done in a smaller venue, he could maybe pull it off. But in a stadium, I don't think so.

Liam'd butcher it like he has been most 90's Oasis tunes since HC.
