To be fair, rumours didn't surface about Bring The Light until the last week of October - myself and others rubbished it and said it was too early. It was released in early November and we had the video by mid November.
It may or may not be true, but its certainly plausible. I can't see Noel doing a press conference, but it wouldn't surprise me if we heard something within the next month.
The album is supposedly finished, the wedding is out of the way, Beady Eye are coming to the end of their run (as in we're heading towards the end of the tour and the hype has died down a bit). Theres nothing stopping him now.
Perhaps this is why The Beat Goes on was delayed? It would be unwise to release a single in the same week that Noel announces his.
Just speculating anyway.

It would be actually very wise to release it the same week, and if Noel does announce this week, its been planned that way. Even if he released it the day of this supposed press conference, Noel's single won't be eligible for the charts as it wont see a full commercial release so its not even in competition. Its all about awareness these days. Any article mentioning Noel will mention the fact that BDI are also releasing a single. Its free press for BDI and thats huge for acts that share the same management team. Regardless, The Beat Goes On is not going to be a very high charting single anyway, so its not going to affect that aspect negatively.

Im shocked that people seem to think Noel is actually going to have a press conference to announce he has got a record coming out soon given his abundant silence, its not his style to do a press conf in that manner
Given that Noel has kept a dignified / frustrating silence for so long has probably alienated alot of the casual fans so that when / if he does a press conference to announce an album it could be a bit over the top and embarrassing to make such a big fuss.
I hope im wrong and i look like an idiot but i think Noel will go about his business in a slightly more understated way, either way im more excited about his album more than the last 3 Oasis records

Overlong "dignified" silence followed by a press conference. Sounds weird to me too.

At least they can try and get in contact with Noel's people and either get a confirmation or a denial.

Take That’s right royal sing-alongTAKE THAT celebrated hitting London on their Progess tour with some patriotism. After the first few songs at Wembley Stadium, MARK OWEN asked fans to join the band on the national anthem. He played a version of God Save The Queen while 85,000 fans sang along. Roadies even put the words on screens. They should do it at England matches - so the players don't forget the words. Robbie's new pop at NoelIT HAS been quite a while since ROBBIE WILLIAMS and OASIS crossed swords. But the Take That star gave his old sparring partner NOEL GALLAGHER a big dig in the ribs on stage at Wembley last night. He said: "The ROLLING STONES played two nights at Wembley. "Oasis played three. Take That - eight. "MICK JAGGER can lick GARY BARLOW's face. "And Noel Gallagher can lick my a***." Noel is due to hold a press conference on Wednesday to announce all the details of his eagerly awaited solo career.
So that gives him five days to prepare a volley in response. It's beginning to look like '98 all over again. www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/3673326/Take-Thats-right-royal-sing-along.html***** Well. The Sun sucks. But Gordon is a pal of NG...

Seems like a lot of apologies are in order Also this FHM journo twitter.com/#!/JonMoody61 casually drops in a mention of "meeting Noel Gallagher on Wednesday". Can't. Fucking. Wait. Regarding press conferences, Noel used to do them for the big Oasis gigs so maybe there's tour dates being announced at the same time.

He is declaring that he has retired from music and is becoming an actor instead. That's why he was in Club Ed. You heard it here first

Yeah, I pretty much have believed Alisson from the begining. I asked him how sure he was before I posted this thread. The only reason I didn't jump full in is because I still wanted a few more sources before I was in 100%. When I made this thread I was probably at 80% in terms of belief. Just had the 20% holding me back from getting overly exicted. The Sun is an average source at best (still a source though), but the FHM source is the clincher. Really doubt if a journalist is just randomly lying about meeting Noel on Wednesday. 3 sources. That's definitly enough for me to be all in. I've already thanked Alisson for the constant contact that he's been in with me, and him gracefully answering all my questions thoughout. I'll probably give him another K+ pretty soon. Once I'm able to do it. thanks Alisson.

Noel has done really well to keep his mouth shut and not get involved in a slanging match with Liam. I'm sure he has bit his tongue on a number of occasions.

Noel has done really well to keep his mouth shut and not get involved in a slanging match with Liam. I'm sure he has bit his tongue on a number of occasions. but Noel hasn't really been in a position, or in the spotlight since the Oasis break-up to really say much of anything about anything, officially anyway. once Noel starts promoting his album he'll take shots at Liam. history has proven that in the past, i don't imagine that'll change.

Jon Moody have deleted the tweet about meeting Noel on wednesday now. I like hearing about deleted tweets. When will people learn that you can't put it out there and take it back. Looks like we're definitely primed for some news.
