I hate seeing these arguments break out, especially with the Beady Eye tracks. The "Noel had a chance to put this track on and he didn't when it was clearly better than this track". It seems to especially happen with the Beady Eye tracks.
The plain fact of the matter is that none of us really know (barre a couple of tracks), what tracks were ever up for consideration for an Oasis album. To add to that, none of us have heard any demos of the Beady Eye tracks from the Oasis era. So how can you say that Noel should have chosen say FLW over TNOR. You can't really. I think that if you say that then you are thinking from a perspective of hearing the finished product (not saying that I can read minds or anything). But none of us know what FLW or say TR sounded like in demo form.
For all we know, TNOR might have sounded great as a demo, while FLW didn't sound completely right or finished. We just don't know. So to say that Noel chose certain tracks for DOYS that he shouldn't have and he's an idiot, is basically like judging a partial picture. We don't what tracks TNOR might have been competing against, or how those tracks sounded in their demo form. So it really makes no sense to even have an arguement about what tracks on DGSS should have been on DOYS.

I'd like to add just because the songs had initially been written years before does not mean that they didn't change somewhat when BDI started working on them. We have to remember that they are now trying to be collaborative. Who knows how much songs like TR or FLW have changed in the past 3 years with the input of 2 other songwriters.
Unless the collaboration talk is bullshit all of those songs should have changed from their inception to a greater or lesser extent.
