I can't believe we're this far along and they still haven't decided which tracks should go on the album yet. If it's all recorded, you'd think those kind of decisions would only take a day or two to make, at most. I can't believe that either, but I hope Noel takes his time when he picks the album tracks. He has a history of picking the wrong ones in Oasis.

What are the three "DLBIA" type songs on the first demo McGee mentioned?

he doesn't know the actual song titles, is the gist of what jamie is saying.
So even if he did hear it, he might not know that he heard it.
Anyway I can't wait to see NL4E's reaction when he finds out Noel's getting all weird and experimental in his middle age.

Interesting info. Would be quite the twist if Noel went off the fuckin rails musically and everyone hated it. Beady Eye would look even tastier at that point.

I love the idea of stand alone singles. If Noel starts doing more of those it will be the best news I've heard about him yet Also, addressing this point...non-album singles are the reason why some Oasis fans forget that the song 'Whatever' exists, at times. Not a good thing in my opinion.

Anyway I can't wait to see NL4E's reaction when he finds out Noel has included a completed guitar laden version of Record Machine on the album. Corrected.

he was adamant he didn't want it to sound like anything anyone had heard before. Genreless, so out there u wouldn't know what section in hmv to put it. Even if this turns out to be BS or a Noel joke, I love the idea of this quote. Could be exciting times ahead..

If it's all recorded, you'd think those kind of decisions would only take a day or two to make, at most. You'd think so, but Coldplay have got an album out in October and they haven't even finished mixing their album, also there are still some debate over the tracklisting, so it's highly likely that Noel is in a similar position.

The big question is - is the stuff you heard any good? Would it be worth all the wait and hype?

i don't mean to be rude but is oneexcitedyoungman a reliable source? unless he worked for ignition or something, i find it weird that he seems to have access to both BDI and Noel, no?! sorry if i've missed some hints/proof/whatever but i'm just surprised since people on here are usually so sceptical?

So was the rumor about the record company wanting Noel to tone down the psychedelia true or not?

And how come you can speak so relatively openly about what you've heard of the album so far? I mean this is much more specific information than the guy who twittered that Noel was recording in the studio next door and he apparently got this major talking to by Noel's people. If you spoke to Paul G and he knows you then it must be easy for them to find out who you are. I thought everything about this album was supposed to be kept under wraps for as long as humanly possible?

The only thing he's said that we haven't already heard is that RM and other a few other songs WERE recorded. The rest of the stuff about it being way out there etc has already been reported, altho we all thought that sourmash guy was full of shit...or at least I did. He hasn't heard anything since Noel went to LA so the album could be completely different from what he's heard. I don't care to ask too many questions. It's all speculation until the real tracks leak and we hear some official material. Then we can all decide whether it's good or a steaming pile of dog shit.

Well seeing as we have STC and RM thanks to him I think it's worth saying that yes, he is a reliable source.
Really, we need some kind of guide book for new members.

Anyway, this is excellent news! While honestly I'd rather Noel not go too crazy soundwise, I trust him to release something amazing, so I'm glad we have some more information on the album/single. (And IIHAG -- yes!)

So RM and STC are on the album? (Your original post mentioned those 2, but it was a little bit unclear/incoherent....) Good news if true, IMO
