So what did you think?
I thought it was an utterly dazzling performance, particularly the Achtung Baby and Boy tunes, and I was absolutely delighted they played Stay (Faraway, So Close) and Bad. Absolutely peerless.

Nice one for the upload. Bono was on form, he sang very very well. I thought it was a great set. I did miss Bullet The Blue Sky though.

It wasn't bad... But I didn't think it was that great, either. I think Primal Scream were a lot better. I enjoyed it more than The Gorillaz last year, that was a poor performance. There have been a number of better festival performances better than this

I also thought it was a great performance but I ended up switching over to something else. I like U2 but only in small doses. I wouldn't be able to hack 2ish hours.....no matter how good they were performing

Didn't really like it. Never like U2, but don't understand what's so great about it. I also consider them a pop band, not a rock band.
And what's with The Edge by the way, grabbing a different guitar every song playing the same kind of riffs everytime.

I thought that was much better... ahh come on dude, u can have an opinion about u2 and bono. but nobody can say this was a bad show. It was absolutely quality I agree with the majority of views, I think this was one of the greatest Glastonbury performances there's ever been. As for Primal Scream, I thought were pretty ordinary compared to U2. Bono was on top form - his vocals were absolutely brilliant. Even the U2 haters are begrudgingly admitting that they did the job. I didn't think U2 would be able to pull it off. The last few years I thought their gigs relied more on gizmos and what have yous, and I thought an audience who weren't U2 fans would get pretty tired of Bono's preening about on stage. How wrong I was - Bono worked the crowd brilliantly, especially getting them to chant the end of Bad and sing a various chunks of alot of their hits. Plus, the stripped down stage setting benefited U2 - I can't help but think that huge 360 stage takes something away from the band rather than enhancing a performance. Last night it was all about the band - sure, there was the odd gizmo like that astronaut but the best bits were all just the band themselves. After watching them last night, it's easy to see why they're still going mighty strong after 30 years.

U2 is always great when Bono is focused on the music.

Even the U2 haters are begrudgingly admitting that they did the job. One of my mates loves U2... We have arguments all the time about who are the bigger band, U2 or The Rolling Stones... But last night he admitted to me that U2 were poor... and if U2 performed like that every gig, he'd be on my side of the fence, saying that The Rolling Stones are the bigger and better band

The best headline performance I've seen at Glasto since I first started watching in 2007. Amazing. What a set list. Hit after hit after hit.

I've never seen The Rolling Stones live so I can't have an opinion on them (I'm sure they're great), but U2 are easily the best band I've seen live by a country mile. Personally, they are the best live act in the world - I can't think of much acts who are up there with them.
