The management seems to be taking more care with Noel's record...how it's presented, what information gets out when, etc. Whereas with BDI everything was just done as quickly as possible to keep Liam happy.

I think there was a dire urgency with BDI. Remember, everyone bar Noel wanted to get right back into the studio after DOYS. Also, LAG stuck together as a band as Noel went his own way. If BDI took a long time in releasing and concealing everything, it would compromise their initial aforementioned position - by waiting several years to release their debut, they would have gone against their initial statement of wanting a quick release post DOYS, which was made even more important by remaining together. We can debate whether if it would have produced a better album if they took longer, but I think their credibility was at stake if they did, which was a very important part of the Oasis overarching principle.

You really think people would have cared if Beady Eye waited another 6 months to put out their album? I don't. I think the hardcore fans would be a little frustrated but they'd still buy everything and go to the shows regardless.
I was going to suggest they might have "hurried" things over fear the general public might forget about them, but I don't think that's the case either. I really don't think it would've mattered if they waited longer. It might've made the music better and that would've ultimately had a more positive impact on everything.
I don't think it was about saving face based on Liam's comments. I think Liam was the driving force behind it all and I think he just likes to get things done. He's not a perfectionist like Noel, painfully crafting songs and wanting to get everything right in the studio. He just gets it done, goes "that's good enough" and they put it out, which is why DGSS is decent but nothing even remotely special.
I think Noel wants to be more careful with his album. He wants to build some hype and mystery by not releasing details and I'd be surprised if we get as many 'free' tunes upfront like we did with Beady Eye. I have a feeling we'll see a fairly standard release schedule with 1 or 2 singles before the album. I'd be taken back if we get 3 videos and 2 bsides prior to release.
