... So, at the very least we'll have (almost) a whole concert in pro-shot quality. That'll be streamed live nationwide on CBS radio affiliates and on CBS.com(video)... Is that CBS.com video channel something we're likely to get a good picture from or is it some crappy lo-res webstream?

I remember a clip from the Katy Perry gig, the quality was great. Our local NPR affiliate has been playing The Roller, Millionaire, and The Beat Goes On. I imagine something like one of these will be performed during the the actual Letterman broadcast. More mass appeal than one of the straight up rockers...many of the US gigs are already sold out too, tickets are going for about $100 each on ebay.

I'd rather them go on Fallon, he's the best out there nowadays and the bands he gets on his shows are fantastic, but I'll take this! Good to see they're actually doing promotion, Oasis should of been doing this for their past two albums.

I agree about Fallon, I am a bit of an obsessive Fallon fan and one of the main reasons is he is such an astute music fan. His music skits and the bands that he gets on are legends (Keith Richards, Macca)/ up and coming artists and he is always so excited to have them on his show. Liam was originally supposed to be on, I wish he could make that appearance up.

Fallon get great guests...but he annoys the heck out of me as a host with the perpetual giggling.
I like the the purile, highbrow Ferguson show infinitely better.

Fallon is cool, i watch his show every now and then, when i miss it i catch up on Hulu. Having said that, the reason why he gets so many great musical guests is because he tapes in New York(just like Letterman). You guys mention McCartney for example, but he did Letterman's show as well. so, it's not like he's able to get this amazing guests that the other show hosts can't just because he's Jimmy Fallon. It's all about where his program is based.
Another thing is, Fallon goes head to head with Kimmel and Ferguson, so there's more competition and as a result rating numbers aren't too hot.
So yeah... i'd love for BDI to do Fallon as well but doing Letterman is still more significant. PLus i've sent a couple of messages(through facebook) to Dangirbird Recds and they said there's nothing confirmed for Fallon but they also haven't said it's definitely not happening.

Hope they nail it this time and don't semi-screw it up like they did on the japan benefit gig broadcast, or Jools Holland. (The latter wasn't actually that bad, but Liam can do much better....)

As much as everyone is patting him on the back and saying he sounds better than DBTT (dark days) ...he still sound so much better on record so as to make all the rhetoric absurd. There really isn't anything much that goes on on the live records that recommend them above the album. Liam sounds worse to differing degrees depending on the night...and none of the video have a great deal of spontaneity. I'd GO to a live show...but I give up on watching sub par recordings of sub optimal performances.

Is anyone going to record the live stream off cbs.com for the whole live on letterman show? Then also a rip off the debut on the show itself?

so the 'special' show is videotaped? i thought it was a radio show? Beady Eye will make their appearance on 'Live on Letterman' on Wednesday, June 22 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. The private concert will be broadcast LIVE on CBS.com & on select CBS Radio stations throughout America. Following the broadcast, Beady Eye will make their US television debut on 'The Late Show with David Letterman', airing at 11:35pm ET/PT, and the full set will be available on-demand on VEVO.com and the CBS online network.
