Brilliant performance of The Roller in Russia last night. That gig is the best Liam´s done since 1997 Whatever you people drink on a daily basis, send some my way. His vocals are much improved over the last 2 tours at least, but come on. He was way better on the SOTSOG tour and even on the HC tour. I remember back in 2002 people were talking about his voice not being as good, but looking back he sounded pretty damn good even compared to now.

audiocue ffs. on every live recording he sounds fucking shit, because they don't use audiocue on the live recordings for radio oder tv. he doesn't sound that good anymore. deal with it.

Just keeps getting better. Are you serious? He sounds awful! Especially the first half of the song. He's off key almost the whole time. Gets a little better as the song goes on, but still...

Rolo will say every performance is decent tbh. But in fairness considering the vocals on the album its perfectly fine. I think Liam is singing well at the moment. People automatically say that because his voice has changed it has declined and in Oasis that was true because he couldn't cope with singing the songs in the same way as he did when he was 22. Now he has a new voice and apart from FA they are well within his capabillities and i think he sounds pretty good in general.

And also Youtube videos are not always the best thing to judge his voice with.

Woah, when did they drop the key of For Anyone? Sounds fine, but it's a shame he couldn't keep doing it like it is on the album...

you won't find another "big" band on earth whose vocalist is so regularly (everyone has an off night here or there) torn apart (and rightfully so) by its own fans than oasis/bdi.
the fact that some think this (3 ring) and for anyone is a great/amazing vocal speaks volumes in regards to some's dream-like critique of liam's ability to sing a 3 minute rock/pop song.
parts of 3 ring are fkn dreadful- some of it's decent. nothing more.
for anyone is 95% fucking abysmal.
I for one have long given up on the notion of attending a liam-authored concert and not having him all-but butcher at least half the songs.
as a well-tenured vocalist myself, it's an insult to a lot of beautiful voices out there who can actually do what's he's raping to death.
it truly pains me to say it, but some of his moments are the most offensive sounds ever produced by a human voice.
lyla anyone?
truth hurts.

^I actually quite like the performance of FA posted here. But most of the time, you're right - Liam's voice isn't nearly what it used to be and sometimes it's painful to listen to.

I hate to agree but I guess you're right. He's lost it years ago. His voice changed a lot (which is normal in a way) but in the end of Oasis he just sounded bad. It was better with Beady Eye in the beginning, and still is now (he's still singing, not snaring + he's more consious about his singing and actually trying to improve it), but this FA is really bad. He has done some quite good performances of the song already though, so let's hope this also was an 'off night' for him. I'm seeing him in a few weeks a will give my convict about his voice then. I'll give him the advantage of the 'bad quality youtube vids'.

Agreed with Start at the End. Having said that though, I know from personal experience that the tone of his vocals are the last thing you think of when you're actually at the gig itself.
His voice is what it is. Lets not try and dress it up as something its not, as most of the videos posted are horrendous.

All I care about is if he still sounds good in the studio and on things like live lounge sessions ect and atm at least he still sounds fantastic in those conditions so im not fussed really. Besides you cant really tell how good or bad he sounds while your at the gig and while your there its the last thing your worrying about. You lot are right he doesn't sound very good live any more (arguably better than anything post 2003 though) and barring a few one off's he's never going to sound good again live. Its sad too see the decline but until it gets to the point where he cant perform in the studio properly does it really matter how he sounds at some random gig in Russia? Especially seeing as its too loud loud too hear him properly and people would be having too much fun to care even if they could
