So you're saying the label & those around him messed up when they pushed Noel to put Lyla and Let There Be Love on DBTT? I'd have to disagree 100%. I think those are two amazing songs and I'm grateful that we got them. If the same people who pushed for those songs want to push Noel to make some adjustments to his solo album, I'm all for listening to them. And I should add in response to something I noticed in your earlier thread, I think Who Feels Love is an awesome song. One of my all time favorites. We need more songs like that. I didnt say anything about Let There Be Love. Read. I like Who Feels Love, but that has nothing to do with what we're talking about. The only reason I mentioned WFL is because along with SMC, neither of them hit 1 or 2 after a fairly good streak of singles reaching that mark. You're the one who brought up commercial success prior and that you were wishing for songs like Sunday Morning Call. Id prefer songs like Falling Down, not the AA remix, the DOYS version. I can't stand LTBL anyway. I think its a travesty of a song and a plodding bore. Its an Oasis-by-numbers ballad which lacks any of the soul of Noel's original demo (It's A Crime). Watch the Time Flies DVD as its been pointed out.

Watch the Time Flies DVD as its been pointed out. I can't. I didn't buy Time Flies as I don't see the point in buying the same songs over and over again.

I can understand collecting physical copies. But having the same song on your iPod multiple times is just silly.

I can understand collecting physical copies. But having the same song on your iPod multiple times is just silly. It's only because I put everything on my iPod. It does include acoustic versions and the live versions from all the gigs I've been too.

Hell!!..it could turn out to be a terrible album if the basis of the songs are similar to the 22 mins falling down remix(i hope not!!).I just feel that it eradicates the basis of rock when you shift your sound in that direction!,it's fine if you're in the club but i can't listen to that at home(the last thing someone could say about me is that "he's a club individual"!)!
But at the same time a downright dad rock sound like lbl or potq would'nt do it for me either, unless it's coated with the right amount of synth or some type of eletronica sound!
If it turns out to be the former, i'm gonna have a difficult time just thinking about giving it a listen so that it can grow on me, let alone thinking of buying it!!!lol. So if worse comes to shit...give me the dad rock then!
I just want something that will keep BE on thier toes...cause they really gotta wash them selves of that lennon rut!!

Jesus fucking christ. Quit jumping to the extreme conclusions. Everyone always wonders about the Death In Vegas sessions, everyone seemed to be excited about that prospect. There's not much difference with AA being involved with Noel's solo project aside from adding in a different influence in the recording process. Listen to what these guys did on "A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble Exploding In Your Mind" which is the reason why Noel likes them so much. Volume 2 is also good and Noel is featured on it. Not one person I know that has heard that in full has ever said anything negative about it. Its fucking brilliant. At least wait to hear something official or at least one note of Noel solo before jumping off a goddamn cliff.

Brilliant! Love reading all the posts! Friends with McGee am I! Stack shelves in HMV? where do you guys get your info from? Anyway...... It is just an unfortunate case of you have to wait and see really! I know some of you really don't believe what I have to say which is cool, forums can be full of bullshit! Anyone remember The Sand Band story? That was me, I broke that story first, no one else! That story has since been confirmed by both parties, so really your decision what you want to believe and dont.
Also expect some kind of release in August! with Press starting in July! (again you will have to wait and see!)

Ask him when Noel is going to perform in Milwaukee sometimes. LOL We got news just over a week ago from the guy that is the only reason that we take you seriously that HIS sources say single Sept, album October. So your August assertion seems a bit sketchy.

Why is Noel Gallagher listening to what a record label tells him to do - tone it down or whatever. He's NOEL GALLAGHER. When record labels started telling Neil Young what to put out, he resolutely told them to fuck off. Not ever a record label. Sourmashmusic is trying to tell us it's his management firm stoping him. Noel's on his own record label. Maybe they do act as A&R men for His Sourmash label...but at the end of the day Noel owns the whole shebang. If Ignition doesn't like it he can fire them and get new management. Wouldn't be a big deal for him. Most big management rims would turn down signing one of the UK rock scenes biggest names. After all, he holds purse strings so Russell doesn't have any more power than Noel let's him have.

We got news just over a week ago from the guy that is the only reason that we take you seriously that HIS sources say single Sept, album October. So your August assertion seems a bit sketchy. As for your connections, interesting that you only brought up the McGee connection after XCREMENT said it. What happened to your sources being "people" (not even just a person but plural people) that had "been in the studio with Noel? So what you trying to pass of is that you are friends with Alan McGee, you know multiple people that have been in the studio with Noel, and presumable someone that works at Ignition since you know that "no one like the music" there. Honestly, I am just this side of full out calling bullshit on you. My advice? Step off. We'll get our news from reliable sources. you are a moron.

I'm sure Ignition has some power...but only as much as Noel allows in the end. He is their client at the end of the day. They are management and PR. They are not record execs. He is not an artist locked into a contract with them where he is using THEIR money to record. Noel is recording on either his own dime directly or indirectly via Big Brother. In the case of Lyla, wasn't there involvement from the record company as well? I would imagine there would have been. I wonder, if this is true and Ignition continue to give him a hard time, if he'll dump them after this album. After leaving Oasis I am sure he wouldn't have wanted to leave his management company at the same time. But if he feels he is fighting them...why would he stay? There are many management companies that I am sure would be willing to take on Noel Gallagher. He may not be as profitable a business as he used to be...but he is still a massive name ad would be a boon to any management companies roster. If he isn't getting what he wants from Russell...we all know that Noel doesn't flinch at canning someone if they start being more trouble than their worth. Noel set up Big Brother to escape from the interference of record companies. I doubt he will voluntarily submit to interference my his management...who aren't even really in the music business. Sourmashmusic...we appreciate the initial tidbit of knowledge. But frankly I don't believe that you are that close to the situation that you would know the minutiae of Noel vs. Ignitions power dynamic. You don't even know anything about the music. Stumbling onto a tidbit of knowledge does not make you an expert on the subject. he is friends with alan mcgee. From sourmashmusic's twitter Rumour has it, im friends with Alan McGee! Where the fuck did that come from! about 1 hour ago via TweetDeck RT @age_a: sourmashmusic I like how someone said you are friends with Alan McGee! - haha I know, like it was a matter of fact! about 1 hour ago via TweetDeck And it's confirmed XCREMENT is full of shit AGAIN.

Am I the only one on here that prefers a "dad rock" album, as it is being called? I'd be totally happy with Little By Little, Sunday Morning Call, Stop the Clocks, You've Got the Heart of a Star, and She Is Love type of songs. Not sure why it seems most people don't like them.
