Prayers out to Paul George that looked horrible. Injuries are part of the game but I hate seeing that happen when someone is representing their country. He was going to be this team's defensive specialist it is sad to see him suffer this injury. I hope to see him fully recovered in due time. It's a shame. He's gonna miss at minimum the season. Hopefully he doesnt have any complications in the healing process. This is gonna make other players question joining international play in the future. It appears the basket stanchion was closer than it would be in an NBA game and thats what he hit his foot against. Smaller picture the Pacers are gonna struggle next season. I could see them missing the playoffs now since they lost their two best players this offseason.

My mind went back to my father when I saw it (it was a skiing accident that landed him in hospital with his knee near shattered, he was lucky I guess). Did PG24 land awkwardly?

I know it shouldn't piss me off as much but I can't believe Durant backed out on team USA this late in the game. A pretty big blow to the US. If he was so "mentally and physically drained" then he should have just declined in the first place. He's apparently a super nice guy and he has represented us a lot over the years but it is still a bitch move.

God bless.

ESPN is a joke. They suspend LeBatard two days for this. He talked about it for two weeks on the radio and they claim they knew nothing about it. I find it a bit hypocritical that they suspend him over a joke making fun of LeBron that got free advertising for one of their on air talents but Skip has been attacking him for years.

If that's true I could see him not wanting to put himself in any situation that could get him injured, even though he could get hurt during regular practice too.

the Kevin Love trade to Cleveland should be completed by this time tomorrow...and then on to more pressing matters like getting rid of those shitty current uniforms and logo.
God bless.

Didn't catch the Turkey game today but I've seen most of the other games that USA has played. Gotta say the obvious and that is Davis is gonna breakout this year. He has a chance to be one of the best of all time.
Kyrie is going thrive with the cast he has now in cleveland. So many people got on his case last year but the truth is Mike Brown sucks at coaching and that cavs team was poor. LeBron and Love will make him look better but he'll do the same for them. He is one of the best play makers in the league. He has been one of the top 2-4 players for this USA team.

Hopefully catch a NBA game while I'm in NY in a few months. But it's over $400 for the two of us! If I have the cash at the time I'll deffo go, the heat are at the garden and the Brooklyn nets are at home to the bulls!!! I've had no real interest in basketball since I was in primary school when Jordan was at his peak with the bulls. Followed it for a few years before it faded out for me. NBA Jam for the mega drive was class too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Truly one of the greats. Obviously way way waaaaay before my time but his name needs to be up there with Bill Russell, Wilt, Dr. J, Bird, Magic, Kareem, and MJ when you are taking about one of the best basketball players ever. I feel his name kinda gets lost in the shuffle. Dude was a complete player.

Congrats to Team USA for winning the Gold. Would have liked to see them battle Spain but it is was it is.
I said this a couple weeks ago Kyrie is gonna do damage this year. He just won World Cup MVP to go along with his All Star MVP. People hated on Coach K for picking him over Wall and Lillard. Foolish. Dude can flat out ball. He's a great playmaker when he wants to be, has the best handles in the game, and is a great shooter. The fact he won this over Harden, Davis, and Faried is impressive. Just wish Kyrie could have stayed healthy for his one year at Duke. There's not doubt in my mind that they would have repeated if that team was give time to gel.
Kyrie and Love are an upgrade over wobbly Wade and posh Bosh. Can't really blame LeBron for wanting to play with them. It is gonna be an exciting team to watch. To the Heat's credit I think they will be a lot better than people think they will be. Wade and Bosh have something to prove and their supporting cast isn't too shabby.

I'm so desperate for basketball I watched a Heat scrimmage game online. I'm desperate too. I understand that the NFL/NCAA football is bigger but I was born and raised in basketball country (Chapel Hill NC) so I'm dying for some hoops. Football is "ight" but I'm starving for basketball. This season is going to be wide open. I might have to try and get league pass just because there's bound to be a good game almost daily. There's magical elements to any sport. The sudden rush of euphoria when someone scores in soccer, or desperately yelling "keep going" to a returner after a punt or kick off in football, but I just love the highlights and drama that basketball brings. Moments that make basketball so special to me are the moments like when you're watching a guy like Curry/Durant heat up. Or seeing a guy like Westbrook, LeBron, Rose just go full force coast to coast with explosive athleticism. Those brief moments in context to the game itself make the sport my favorite.

Wonder how Wade will fare now King LeBron isn't there the Heat should be pretty good this season...probably won't win the title but maybe second round of the playoffs. God bless. It all depends on Wade. If he can be explosive the entire season. They'll be really good. If he looks like he did in the finals. They arent making it out of the first round.
