Luol Deng is a good pick-up for the Heat. Didn't think he'd go for 10 mill.

However, he must be very pissed at his agent. I know the last deal he turned down from the Bulls was 3 year 30 mill. He thought he could get more on the open market. Instead, he got the same amount of money with less years. Miscalculation on his part. Still, it's not a nice gain for Miami.

I think when it all shakes out, the Heat will be the fourth or fifth best team in the East. I think even with the Cavs being young they'll at least be a two or three seed because the last time LeBron was there he was carrying that to #1 seeds on his own, now with Kyrie #2 should be more than doable. The Wizards will certainly take a big leap. The Bulls who I have pegged as either the #1 or #2 seed depending on the health of Derrick Rose. And if the Pacers can put themselves back together, they're a viable top 4 seed, though I think they'll drop a bit because of staying stagnant as the Bulls and Cavs clearly got better. The East will be very interesting. I think it'll go like this:

1. Bulls
2. Cavs
3. Wizards
4. Heat
5. The Pacers
6. Charlotte (they could flip with the Pacers if they get Lance Stephenson)
7. Atlanta
8. The Knicks (just barely sneaking in)

Heat could get the third seed by winning their division over the Wiz, who lost Ariza and the Hornets who Im still not sold on.  The EC depends on a few thing things.  D Rose's & D Wade's health, if the pacers can resign Lance, and if the Cavs can get Love.

Don't think the Pacers resign Lance. Just seems like he's looking to leave. The Wiazrds lost Ariza but they still have a pretty strong starting 5. Right now I have the Wizards as better than Charlotte, but that would certainly change if they get Lance. Then I'm pretty sure they would be the clear favorites to win that division.

Imagine:

Kemba Walker, Al Jefferson, Lance Stepehnson, and Gerald Henderson. That's a clear improvement for them. Add in PJ Hairston and Noah Vonleh (who I think are both great picks by them) and a veteran bench and I think they're better than the Heat.

Thats 11 players under contract(technically Wade and Ud arent but will be). Might trade Cole dont see reason for 3 pg's. Still dont have a C. Wonder if they continue the Oden project and bring back Beasley for bench scoring.

It is just a damn shame Melo didn't go to Chicago. It was just too good to be true and Melo loves his $. Pau is a decent consolation prize and the bulls still might end up being the best team in the East depending on Rose's health, but Pau isn't a true game changer like Melo would have been. The front court of Noah and Pau should tear through the East.

East should be interesting though. A decent amount has changed since last year. Bulls, Cavs, Wizs are the three best teams. Pacers, Heat, and Hornets are in the next tier.

Wizs will surprise people next year. They have a killer starting five. Wall and Beal will continue to improve.

Also Parson's bitching about Houston and going to the Mavs is just annoying. Guy isn't a superstar at all or even a star. He's a solid contributor and he'll be a nice fit with the Mav's.

Lance to the hornets is huge. If he can get his head in the game he can develop into a legit star. Maybe not a superstar but he can develop into a really good second option. Kemba, Al, and Lance is a really solid core. It'll also be a fun team to watch which the Hornets have never had since their rebirth. Really happy my hometown team is finally finding its footing.

He was due 900k this year and got a $14m raise.  He might be hurt they didnt match but the last thing he should be doing is complaining.  

Only 100 days till the regular season starts. I'm ready.

I need tickets for this game. I think he'll get a standing ovation after they play a tribute video to him and once the game starts he'll be booed the rest of the night.
