guys, im not saying i don't like TBGO as a song. i think it's very good, just not single material. i don't think they'd play that on the radio, that's all im saying.
SOTEOTN is something that wouldn't sound like the odd song out on any alternative radio playlist. it's upbeat, it's got electric guitars, it's got a catchy chorus and it's not 6 minutes long.
now, Liam has already said Millionaire is the next single so it doesn't really matter anymore.

Leaving the singles debate aside for one second.....I don't think I'll ever understand this board's indifference to BaS.

This album has NO good singles, so it really doesn't matter. It is a good enough album, but lacks the singles. Oh well.

Yeh, I for one really quite like 'Beatles & Stones', only part I don't like about it is the "What's that you say? Get out the way" bit, just feels a bit too random, they probably shud have just cut that bit out n gone straight to the solo/outro part.
I think I'd probably quite like 'Beatles & Stones' as a single, just purely because its not the sort of choice you'd usually get for a single. Would definitely stand out hearing something like B&S in the charts... for good or bad!

If they'd released FLW when they released BTL people would have gone mental about this album,.... IMO it should have been a proper single...

When you listen to the album FLW, The Roller, For Anyone, The Beat Goes On and The Morning Son all sound like singles.

That was the closest they had to a game changing song on the album. For Anyone's really good, but its a mini ballad, Millionaire is also good, but its not really single material. None of the songs are single material, but FLW was the closest.

to say 4LW isn't "single material" is like saying TSOTL wasn't a good single. it's simply NOT an accurate statement.

to say 4LW isn't "single material" is like saying TSOTL wasn't a good single. it's simply NOT an accurate statement. When I say single material, I mean to say a true break out single. FLW is a great single comparative to what's on the album, but in terms of being a true break out single, in my opinion its not. FLW is close, but not there. The deficiencies that it does have, would have been greatly helped by some good promotion, and probably would've been a pretty good hit, but not a break out single. I just don't see anyo f those on this album. A good solid album, with good solid songs, but lacking any real break out singles. imo

Not just with B&S, the whole album I guess.

I agree with spaneli here. There simply is no Wonderwall or Supersonic on DGSS, but FLW would have been the best single by far. It's a good thing they released it, but making it a real single would have been the best idea imo.

Dont think they wanted FLW as a proper single because is sounds to much like oasis... I think thats why theyve choosen to release Millionare instead of TRC aswell.

I guarantee Millionaire will flop.
Three Ring Circus seems like the only song left that could get any radio play.

I guarantee Millionaire will flop. Three Ring Circus seems like the only song left that could get any radio play. Everything they put out will flop if they don't do any promotion. None of the songs on this album can carry its own weight without promotion. They all need promotion. But BDI won't supply it, so they'll all flop as singles.

Cant see there being another after millionaire, seeing as theyve already done BTL and FLW. That makes 4 singles, even if two of them were terribly released.

I think most of the album is radio friendly - some tunes moreso than others, but overall it's a pop album filled with melody......FA could have been a single, so could KFAD, so could TBGO, and so could 3RC.....

Don't get me wrong, I think it's an okay tune, but if they'd release it as a single, I fear I will start to hate it. Same happened with "Shakermaker". An okay-ish tune, but each time I listen to it it makes me kinda sick, knowing they could've released"Slide away" or "RNRS" as a single. The Roller peaked same as Supersonic in its day. History really is repeating itself.
