I am afraid that,by the time The Beat Goes On will be released,it's going to be too late for the album...

Millionaire is a great choice. I've always thought that the singles should reflect the album and Millionaire does that - its catchy, uplifting, and different to Oasis.
On a similar note, I've always thought Shock of the Lightning was a diabolical choice for DOYS. The album was nothing like any other Oasis album (SOTSOG aside), but the lead single was the most Oasis-by-numbers song on the album. I know a lot of people heard that and decided to give it a miss.

Tons of sources stated through Twitter that Millionaire was going to be the second single. I kind of like that choice actually.

If the video shoot is happening this month, then when will the actual release be?

I am afraid that,by the time The Beat Goes On will be released,it's going to be too late for the album... That would mean two ballad single in a row. It'll be fine. I'm not convinced that TBGO is that radio friendly anyways personally.

Did anyone read the reviews of The Beat Goes On on Itunes? It got ravaged. Millionaire stinks. The single should be The Morning Son or Four Letter Word

I always suspected Millionaire would be the 2nd single, which was fine with me as its my favourite off the album.
Looking forward to the new bside. i wonder what it will be like...can't be worse than Two of a Kind.

This album is finished in the charts.....it's like they don't want to have success....if they release The Beat Goes On on the other hand,i could even see the album climbing to no1 and glory days ahead... you're delusional. TBGO is a good song but it's not single material. Apparently it's already been confirmed that Millionaire will be the next single. Three Ring Circus would've been a better choice imo.

I'm sorry, but there really is not that true break out single on this album that everybody is looking for. The fact that there are varying opinions on which should be the next single kinda shows that. One song might be better suited to be a single, but that doesnt mean that, that song is true single material.

He's got a point actually. There are no obvious singles. It's for the same reason that we have been discussing for weeks. More consistent than Oasis but fewer standout moments. And those fewer standout moments mean that the singles must be harder to pick. There aren't really any tunes that can be counted on to make a splash on radio. Also SOTEOTN as a single?...PLEASE NO! I don't think any of their tunes are going to be amazing for radio...but Really what does it matter to us fans? The only thing this decision means for us is a b-side...and we get it regardless of the a-side.

He's been going on about SOTEOTN being a single for ages now it seems like. I just dont see what he sees in that song.

The "Get me, Get You, Im standing on the edge of noize" was cringe worthy, if it does not get any better it shouldnt be single material(I'm still waiting )

The "Get me, Get You, Im standing on the edge of noize" was cringe worthy, if it does not get any better it shouldnt be single material(I'm still waiting ) that's probably the catchiest part of the album. it all goes back to what was discussed ages ago. BDI should've taken more time on this album, instead of trying to prove they can make an album on their own. there's glimpses of greatness but just glimpses. like i said above, the verse of 'beatles and stones' is good but the chorus is lacking.

You are the delusional one,'millionaire' is a nice tune but it is nowhere near single material...people in 5 years going ''hey do you remember 2011?those were the days with 'millionaire' on repeat from spring to summer''hahhaah...'three ring circus' is even worse as a single choice. Imagine oasis releasing 'bring it on down' instead of 'live forever' in summer 1994....completely stupid for a new band who wants attention. This album needs an anthemic single that would get airplay and only 'the beat goes on' is capable of that....also 'four letter word' and 'for anyone' should be singles....but first of all 'the beat goes on'which has the richest melody on the album by a mile. Also if 'the beat goes on' is not single material, then neither is'stop crying your heart out','stand by me','don't look back in anger','little by little','wonderwall' and 'sunday morning call'.

Millionaire = Good choice.
It is a great wee tune & I predict will do well in the UK.
I like it for a few reasons:
It's the 1st song my missus liked on the album. (She is hard to impress & can sometimes spot a hit!) I think it sounds a bit like the Charlatans. It gives referance to Salvator Dali. Andy Bell wrote it.
The Beat Goes On I thought was being released as a single in America though? I think that will do quite well both there & in the UK. But more so in the US to raise profile & album sales with a Great song!!

^There is a difference between a good song and a good single. That's all he is saying. I'm pretty sure Man of Misery will be the b-side. Liam said that there would be no more new b-sides a while ago IIRC.
