Only 3? I guess there's no fear of not selling out gigs then.

What nonsense. Also, Toronto is in Canada, not the US. So really only 2 gigs in the US. Would you not travel?

Got a few college roommates who live in Manhattan and Long Island, so it'll be a good excuse to get together and have a good time in the city. Never been to the Webster Hall either. Looking forward to it.

I would contemplate traveling if it was on a weekend, and thus I could stay at my friends place in NYC. But 4 hours on a train one way on a Thursday? Nope. I feel for the people on the West Coast, though. At least anyone in one of the major East Coast cities does have NYC somewhat in reach.

Hopefully this is just to feel out the market and then have a bigger tour this fall. Odd they aren't playing in LA, they're only hitting 2/3 of the big music cities.
And playing the Metro must be weird, one of my favorite Oasis bootlegs from back in 1994!

i think they're using these three dates to test the waters in north america. if the shows are successes, you can almost guarantee they'll be back later on in the year.

3 dates is pretty well the worst news ever for the US. As with Oasis, they don't give a shit about the US which is why the US generally doesn't give a shit about them. Oh well. Kinda figured it would be this way.

Well I'm glad they are hitting up Chicago. It's only a four hour drive for me. Plus it's a good excuse to visit Chicago this summer.

this is SOOO retarded on so many levels. For the record, i wasn't expecting them to come to Texas so that's not the reason why im being critical here. It just that there''s no point to what they're doing. What, are they gonna "test the waters" ? it's fucking Chicago and NYC, of course those 2 shows are gonna sell out, it's a no brainer. what are they supposed to accomplish with this? i just don't get it.

Again, we dont know all the facts. At least wait and see what they do on the 2nd trip, which IMO will be far more expansive and encompassing. This is likely a media intensive trip. Theres nothing surprising about it when you compare to other acts' first US dates.

ok ok... so maybe they're just coming over to do a couple of late night shows(Letterman/Conan/etc) and while they're at it they decided to fit in a couple of gigs. that makes sense i guess. still, why not schedule an L.A. date then? all the late night shows are taped in LaLa land(Conan, Leno-hate that prick-, Craig Ferguson, Kimmel, etc) the only two out East are Letterman and JIMMY FALLON. It wouldn't surprise me if they were just in town for the Fallon show since Liam was schedule to be on it months ago.

If anyone actually thinks they'll only play two US cities all year people really are thicker than I thought in this camp.

They are probably going to play more dates after the European summer festival dates are over. These couple of gigs will just be a flying visit.

I am thinking this has to do with Liam saying they were opening a Pretty Green in NYC very soon... could be they couldn't get anymore dates around that date? I dunno.. planning all 3...should be awesome..
What is so shit about the Sound Academy? (seriously I have no clue)
