From 2 listens I think the album is OK, not sure if it's as good as any Oasis album for me though. Yes I know Heathen Chemistry isn't great but it has great tracks.
I prefer any tune, literally any tune on any Oasis album to SOTEOTN.

I'm not a fan of Nature of Reality much, but to me, at least it has a decent solo, it's structured, fits the theme of DOYS etc. SOTEOTN is just a ball of mess, like a rubber ball band, it's fucked. Think PYMWYMI is 5x better and I don't rate this either. I have no doubt it will be better live, but that's not the point.

And bat this Beady Eye shite into oblivion! With what? his super crappy Stop the Clocks? which he thinks is his best song ever written? Stop the Clocks is pretty good honestly. Especially when it's moved up a key and he gets the instrumentation right. Take a listen to this version. It's got a 'Looking Glass' feel and here it sounds a bit like Gas Panic, which is awesome.

And bat this Beady Eye shite into oblivion! Cheers for that, with such fascinating reasoning to your whole point I have come to the conclusion that you should post more often. *I was being sarcastic by the way just in case you're unsure.*

I hope he crushes it. The more great music the better. I look forward to alternating between BDI and Noel solo efforts. (Probably at a 2 to 1 rate though)

(Probably at a 2 to 1 rate though) Exactly, I like this album and i'm hoping Noel makes something better to raise the bar. The more good tunes we get from each side (probably the wrong turn of phrase) can only be good for us.

Noel will easily surpass this album. Easily. What makes you say that? Noel's output has been patchy over the last few years. He's written some belters sure but mixed in with some mediocrity. All of the great songwriters have put out a turd, theres nothing to suggest Noel might not. No matter how good you are sometimes you run out of steam.

Noels album will be better.......................... 1x Noels worst songs= 0.5 of The Beat Goes on( BDIs best song). Noel is twice better at least!

Noel will have better songs...but the thing I hope is he picks a good producer. Oasis's last few records sound so heavy and ploding...This record sounds very fresh - which is as much a production thing as a song thing,

Their relative frequency of release might actually equal out in a few years IMO.
I can imagine BDI really pushing the live thing and Noel being more conservative about it. Maybe not in the first few years...but I think Liam would rather perform than record...and if he can make it pay to do a longer tour I don't think he'll shut down the opportunity for more tour to do studio stuff. They'll definitely have less downtime...which is all Liam promised really. If they could tour for 2 years...in think he would.
I think Noel will spend more time making albums but spend less time touring and he'll have more downtime.

Listened through the album a few times...it's good but it's nothing great IMO. I really think Noel will blow it away...
Still can't wait for Manchester gig though!
