Given the space it takes to store these things dont you think its a little odd they get cds a month before the release ? Sounds weird to me... Just saying I know mate. But i guess they have good reasons for it ...

Dutchie here, have been checking the large retailers and small stores in Utrecht and Amsterdam. None of them had it, most of them couldn't even tell me when they would receive the album. Try it in the area of The Hague. The shop that i visited was in Gouda.

They most likely had a dummy cd (just the case + front and maybe a back-cover) to use for advertisement and/or preorders. That's what the local record ship over here does with a lot of CD's.

This story by shakermaker is pure bullshit...I have a friend of mine that works for a recordstore and he told me that the cd-lp-dvd arrives in store just the friday before the official release if the disc is out on monday as DGSS will be. You're right. After thinking about it this looks really fake. Why would a shitty store in Neatherlands have it before everyone else? Even than Japan? THIS IS A FAKE!!! "LIKE I EXPECTED, PEOPLE DON'T BELIEVE IT, IT'S FINE, FEEL FREE TO THINK IT'S FAKE ANYWAY, THIS IS JUST MY REACTION TO THAT, AND DO WITH IT WHAT YOU WANT: Well, like i have said before at the opening here .. it's up to you to believe. It's what i've seen. I have never been bullshitting here in 7 years im a member here. Then why would i now? Don't tell me how things work in distrubution of CD/LP's. I know how it works, as a few more here i guess. It's true things can be shipped/sended some days before a release, for there are enough possibilities to do so. But it could have 1000 reasons why they would do it on other moments. I guess they had good reasons for it. And Oasis/Beady Eye is not that big in Holland, not like how they are in the UK. So per stores they will get at the most 10 or 15 copies. Not that much space it will take. They come in plastic boxes that have place for like 50 or 60 cd's. A box that can be compared with sizes of a box of beerbottles. Regulary a shop has like 5 or 6 of them in storage all the time. Plus : It's not Beady Eye managment who decides when it will be send out. That's up to the company responsable for distrubuting it. The release date will always be the same, the distubution date can be various. Kind of logical i guess. In the period that I have worked for this recordstore company,I have seen these this way of working before like 3 or 4 times. For the albums of James Morrison, DJ Tiesto (dutch DJ), Anouk (dutch singer) and John Mayer. Anyway, I have question as well, why they would send it out so early. Why working like that. I can't really tell... On the other end ... it's "just 2 weeks before the release". (not a month as some people say) All by all, don't blame me for what i've seen. I just gave that news because i thought people would wanted to know as well. Offcourse there is no prove, I realized that before i posted it, and it's a shame lots of people have been bullshitting before. Therefore I understand these reaction. I just don't know why, but it's just clear (for i have seen it with my own healthy eyes lol) to me these albums are already been shipped around. Just don't know why, but they did, and as far as i know it's not the first time it's been done like this.

And yes it could have been a dummy cd. I can't tell. But it was clearly the Beady Eye front cover in that box. And I have seen 6 pieces of them, so why 6 dummies? I think i will go back this week and ask them if i can take a picture. And otherwise i will do it in secret, testing my spy abilities. lol ;D

3 Things from reading back on this post 1. Beady Eye are old fashioned when it comes to having records, so why not releases to shops? 2. I don't want a leak and am happy for the benefit of the band if it doesnt happen(As much as I want to hear it now!) 3. People need to get a grip on how they think record stores and record companies work. Some of these posts are actually desperate & stupid. We will have it.. "All in good time" ..Leak or not!! I'm totally with you! Couldn't say it better.

True .... well anyway .. everyone is free to think of it how they want... I guess i shouldn't try to convince people of what i've seen, for there is no real prove. And i understand these reactions fully, for i have seen to much bullshitting here before. It's just a shame people slag off "well respected" ;D forum members that have proven not to be bullshitters...

Well, i believe you, you´re not a bullshitter like me. But maybe you only saw a dummy cd like other user said.
If it was the real thing: COME ON, BRING THE LEAK!
Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, !

I believe in all...
And I'm kind of chocked when I read the amount of "bullshit" you get in this thread. I mean, I told people about my friend hearing the CD and how they had a physical copy to review a few weeks ago, and by what I can remeber things whent by smooth... And I had only started posting a week earlier! How is it possible I didn't get "troll" thrown all over me??

I'm not a thief, i won't steal an album out of a shop. If people are that desperate to have a leak, then try and do it. It's up to others to do so then ... Besides, i don't think this album desires to leak. The Beady Eye managment has put a lot of effort already to satisfy the fans. 2 internet releases (BTL, FLW) including a videoclip, and a first real single release well before the album release, including video. And a 30 second per song preview on iTunes (geuss that was just planned leaking). So we have 3 official releases and 3 videos even before the album is out. Which other band does that for the fans? Oasis was clearly not bothered, for example, we waited for DBTT waaaayyy to long, and promises were made and nothing happend for a long time. Well then i can understand people want a leak. But Beady Eye deserves a unleaked debut, that's my opinion. (and ofcourse i would like to listen to it when it leaks, like i guess 98% of the fans. It's just that I don't feel it's that nessacarry, and i'm not a thief) If people want it, just find a leaker, it won't be me.

Let that be a messege to these people ... and well, there are copies around here in Holland anyway. For example, a Dutch music magazine already has released a review of the album (the translation into english can be found on the forum here somewhere). I guess Holland won't be the only place. How could people of these magazine make a review without hearing it. There won't be a room where all journalists go and sit to listen and then go back to their offices. That will be done via internet or cd copies. So in a way, I guess my news isn't THAT big news. The album is already around.

I totally believe you and applaud you for not going back there to try to get a copy or 'steal' the album. I also agree that Beady Eye deserves an unleaked debut. In 3 months they gave us 6 songs (7 if we count Two of a Kind's preview), 4 videos and 30 seconds previews of the album. That's amazing! And even so people still find a way to criticize their marketing strategy... The same people who are desperate to have the album now will be the same to slag it off in two weeks.

Can't say more, good to see i'm not the only one. And then about the whole "leak" thingy : If there will be a leak, there will be a leak. If not... then there is no leak, simple as that. And people need to get a grip on understanding how these kind of companies work. If you just don't know enough about it, then don't go on a forum and slag off those who do. Even though there are a lot of bullshitters around. I think that messege is clear now.
Getting a album leaked is way more complicated then people think it is. Take a shop employee: Let's say he's a wanker and he steals an album. If there will be a check, they will find out there is one missing. If he manages to get it home, and then puts it online, they will be found by IP address in the end. He will loose his job and gets a big big fine. For the sake of what? So no, it won't leak from such people I guess. If so, that person has guts. No wonder that i wasn't allowed to listen to it, to get one to buy (then the recordcompany will be fined big time), or even photograph it.
And this is just a simple example.
I just think it's interesting as a fact that the albums are already around (which offcourse enlarges the risk for a leak). But take it as a fact or don't. Everyone is free to do or don't.

In the recordstore of your fantasy there's no fucking cd Big boy, mate!!! I guess it's way more interesting to talk about it. Speculating is fine to, talking about the possibility of leaks, fine. I never told people they had to believe me. But it's a fact to me. And i'm just justifing that. If I am wrong about it all, then bring me to the shop for glasses, or lock me up in a house for lunatics. But the whole discussion if it's so, or not, is just desperate and foolish. Let's talk and discuss instead of slagging off. That's what forumsites are for. Not to show what a big boy you are. ;D For the record, ... I never started about a leak... others might did. I only just discovered that albums are already distributed. Read first please. Take it as a fact or don't. And if you get bored of it, fine to me.

Some bullshits here are so bullshit that they made me chuckle a bit I would like it if the album leaks, but I pretty much have the idea of how the songs will sound like thanks to the snippets and kingjohn's review... so meh if it's kept unleaked. I mean, who can be less crazier for the leak than me? Today I even kept the number of my regular hourly checks under 10

Just saw on Twitter that the album has arrived in Indian stores and could be leaked tonight by some Indian store workers. Real possibility of this cause they really don't give a fuck over there! Excited. Link copied from my Twitter feed. tinyurl.com/BeadyEyeIndiaLeak

Shakermaker, I see no reason not to believe you and that should be the case for everyone, you've been around for a good while now and I don't see why you'd make this up, thanks for the information mate.
