'Man of Misery' has been re-recorded-- I like it.
I like most, if not all, of the clips! It does sound very "up," really lookin forward to it now.
Wigwim is an early fav of mine.

This thing is dire. Sounds a hell of a lot like what the Canadian band Sloan were doing in 1997. Sounds almost exactly like them actually, except much worse.

ok... when i first heard the clips i was thinking: this sounds a LOT like The Goo Goo Dolls(not a bad thing imo).
Then, i started getting this "train" feeling in some of the songs(i hate soul sister but they have some good ones too). Kill for a Dream reminds me a lot of "Calling all angels", without the chorus, that is.
THen of course, the Beatles influence is almost palpable in some of the tunes.
I gotta say, after hearing BTL, i have been pleasantly surprised. Most of you know how much i hated that song(and still do) and how disappointed i was with it, but the guys seem to have made a very good album.
One can't say the album will be a classic or better than DefMayb and whatnot but i can say i do believe it will be a good album filled with music that i like. Can't do much about BTL being on it but whatever, it's 1 track only =P

it sounds promising, but some songs are just straight up beatles rips or at least parts. The album sounds promising for sure. Liam sounds great. Its very light and summery which is great. The Roller, For Anyone, Wigwam (could actually be Liam's best from this clip) The Morning Sun, Three Ring Circus grabbed my attention.

But unlike most of all the other clips, the 30 seconds really turned me off. Maybe the full song will change my mind, who knows. But I really really hate the 30 second clip here. Worst on the album so far, based on the clips. - Gutted, too, as it has a brilliant title! |

You're missing out on the fun. It's nights like these - DGSS, DOYS, DBTT clips released, RM/STC demos released, etc and then discussing them with fellow passionate members that make this forum truly engaging. You're missing out. You'll end up playing 'catch up' with all of us. And our opinions will infiltrate your mind before you even heard the song yourself, which could very well influence your opinion. I, personally, wouldn't miss this 'experience'. It's nights like these that justify my 10,000 odd post number!  |

Millionaire,the roller,wind up dream,for anyone,morning son,wigwam. All clip standouts for me. Did anyone else notice that the youtube clip from those spanish radio dudes awhile back is clearly "millionare. Just thought I'd point that out.

What I don't get is how awful SOTEOTN sounds. It really is PYMWYMI II (based off of the 30 second clips), and the oddest thing is is that it doesn't blend in at all with any of the other songs. It's a hard rocker amongst mellow melodic songs. Also, Three Ring Circus has a TNOR vibe - albeit MUCH better than that shit track - wonder if this one is Andy's? Funny, I knew your hate for TNOR and when I saw your dislike for TRC, I was like I bet he thinks its like TNOR. Well the 1st 20 seconds yes. But that last 10 seconds is brilliant I must say, so maybe it will develop well. |

Right now I feel the bottom 3 are
4. Beatles and Stones
8. Kill For A Dream (kinda gives me a Knickleback vibe)
9. Standing On The Edge Of The Noise (Kinda like a bad Jet song)
Add 6. Bring The Light, and the "rough patch" (as of now, too early to judge) would be the middle part of the album (though 5. Wind Up Dream and 7. For Anyone are strong). Better the middle than the end like DOYS.

sounds a fukin great album
sure there's one or two lesser ones on there but on the whole it sounds great
anyone check out the acoustic guitars? Some awesome work there from the boys

the roller has such a great swagger to it before it starts on its little all you need is love verse. TRC the last ten seconds are pretty great. These songs are a lot of glammy and poppy but i hope that Andy showcases his guitar skills. Having him back on guitar was one of the main reasons I that i'm excited for Beady Eye. The best part about these clips is that most of these clips are vastly superior to TMOS, TNOR, AGN and have a bit more depth (this is all of the 30 second clip though i could be completely wrong)
