Kill For A Dream - Like it...But this is another song, isn't it?? I am sure that I've heard a song so similar to thisone. Help me anyone..! I've posted this earlier in the thread, but the similarities you hear are from Nickelback's masterpiece "Rockstar." Again, I apologize if I've ruined the song already some some of you. Some say it sounds like the Train song, too. For the record, I still really like the Beady Eye clip.

What is it that people find similar about Kill For a Dream and Rockstar? Is it the melody or the guitar? I've listened to Kill For a Dream a good few times now and I can't recall any part in Rockstar that is similar, although I guess they both kind'v build up in a way?
Anyway somebody on this board posted that Kill For A Dream was written about 10 years ago when Andy joined the band? In that case then Mr Chad Kruger owes a Mr Bell a long-overdue apology!

K4aD does NOT sound like Rockstar at all to me. It sounds like the verses from CallingAllAngels from Train.

I feel like I could sing, "Its a beautiful world when you know who are, its like the bottom of 9th and I'm never gonna win..."

I think it sounds like american music rather than specifically Nickelback Is that really what you think American music sounds like? By the way, Nickelback's Canadian, so don't blame us for that shit.

Seems I'm the only one who likes it ATM, but I did enjoy the clip of Wind up Dream, but maybe its just the Guiro that kicks in halfway through that got me Anyways, sounds like a nice collection of tunes, and love that Liam's coming out with so many releases/clips/b-sides etc.. BTW, I thought BTL was an ok song, but I'd like to mention that had I only heard that 30 sec preview, I'd have been really excited for it Lets just hope the lyrics hold up for the rest of the album, not like on BTL...

I don't think the lyrics to any of liam/andy/gems songs are good, it's just when you put them under the umbrella of oasis, you tend to feel a bit disappointed. if you take them for what they are, just a different "voice", a different perspective, you tend to appreciate the "dumbed down" of BTL. This record just seems like it'll be a weight off in many different ways. For the past 6-7 years i felt like oasis were just disappointing me in their recording output quality and various other ways. Now we are getting a different sound, perspective, fast release, and a sense of urgency that we haven't really gotten in years, and maybe we're not used to it as fans of oasis, but consider if someone listened to beady eye before oasis. I'd be curious to find out peoples' opinions of bring the light who have never heard say... roll with it or up in the sky.

Sorry, man. I'm just saying that some people may not like it because of the Nickelback comparison, which, as you asked, comes simply from the melody we hear in the Beady Eye clip (Thank you, oasis6). Of course, I'm not thinking that we should judge the song based on a few seconds; it's just funny to see such a similarity. I really like the sound of "Kill for a Dream" so far. I'm sure it will be a great song along with the others. As we eventually hear the entirety of all of these tracks, I'm sure we'll all listen without the Canadian rock references.

Anyone else think Morning Son sounds like The Verve circa Urban Hyms? Not that this is bad thing...I love the song so far (the Verve)

Listened to the clips again just a bit ago - and I also hear a little of Nickleback's Rockstar in Kill For a Dream - but it's only the first few notes.

Hey is it possible to hear the clips from the French iTunes anywhere at this point? Seem to have missed the boat with all the festivities.
