Liam sounds pretty good. He is a bit nasal @ times during these clips though. I think he sounds better and worse than DOYS. For Anyone is a better vocal than any of Liams on DOYS. However I think he sounded far better on TSOTL than Four Letter Word, for instance.
Tunes like For Anyone show that Liam is capable of a better sound and tone than he has on some of the other tunes.

Anyone know where the new recording of 'Man Of Misery' came from? It a bonus track on the album?

I resent the album preview because it was deleted.

Jabba 69 said it previously but listening again I can hear a bit of The Charlatans on some of the clips and they are heavily influenced by Bob Dylan. As well as the obvious Lennon style This is a good thing!

I don't think we can pass judgment on each of the tracks (obviously some got me excited and sound promising, but I'm not risking having such big expectations), but overall, I'm really liking the sound this album is aiming to. I think that's the best that can be said, we get a feeling of the overall sound.

I, personally, am blown away with Liam's vocals. He's reaching higher notes, and he's actually singing more and sneering much much less. Yeah I can't see where people are coming from with the criticism of his vocals. They definitely sound better than they have been. He's showing the most range in his voice since pre-2000.

liam sounds good, the songs are pretty lame though. There is nothing here as good as the singles from the last 3 records. Shock of the Lightning > Beady Eye

Can someone clear this up for me? The video being released on the 25th is "four letter word" but its not a single. And the official first song being released as a single is "The Roller" and the video for that is in january. Is this info correct?

Didn't help with NME mixing them up and then SCYHO saying the same. Just a promotional video tied in with NME i think

Shock of the Lightning > Beady Eye they only appear lame to SOME people because it's not Oasis - those Beady Eye songs are clearly not we're used to so I suppose they take a bit of time to adapt and get used to. I'm sure some people will come around to liking them after a few listens when the album hits.

Meh, about three or four decent songs on there judging from the clips.
I really can't stand that Lennonesque echo on Liam's vocals (which do sound too nasal on a lot of the tracks). He needs to reclaim his old voice rather than keep trying to clone Lennon.
Will probably buy the album but only for three or four tunes from the sound of it.

He needs to reclaim his old voice rather than keep trying to clone Lennon. I doubt this is possible. The implication that Liam sounds like he does now because he wants to is crazy. He's doing his best with what he's got.

I meant from the production side of things. I'd prefer a clean Liam vocal rather than that effect he puts on it the whole time - right back to Little James.
To me this album sounds like a mix of bad 70s glam rock and Beatles-style ballads. Kill For A Dream sounds promising though.

Thanks for the heads up, made intersting listening. Kinda confirms that its not gonna be a GREAT album, but looking forward to listening to it in full before passing judgement.
On liams vocals- he sounds very gentle, almost whimsical on some tracks, be interesting to hear the album to see if he grows or grates!
