The album sleeve is apauling!!! It's completely ridiculous I thought it was a joke at first. It's cheaply made and could've been done by a ten years old on Paint!
I'm happy we'll finally hear that "The Roller" though that we've been hearing about for 10 years!

What were you expecting another boring blurred out image of the band? jesus calm down go to the loo or something

Oh I'm not pissed off lol! It's just apauling.
I started a thread because it's got nothing to do with the album itself.
And in the 60's and 70's there were awesome album covers without even having computers. It was part of the art of the record. Nowadays, that kind of crap cover is even more deceiving. It's not as if they didn't have the money to get a quality one and it was a chance for them to get away from the crappy Oasis sleeves of the last years (bar Doys).
But like psj3809 said, in the end it's the songs that count. But I'm still a "package" fan. I still buy records in record stores so the sleeve is part of the deal for me. Look at Sgt. Pepper, people are still talking of the album sleeve now! Same with the White Album which is super simple.

You want bad cover art, take a browse through this gallery www.boston.com/ae/music/gallery/bad_album_covers/

It is different indeed. No chance an Oasis album would ever have looked like that! I'm not sure whether I like it, though - it's forced to look old, 60s-style.

Yeah I didn't like their "With The Beatles" type sleeve for Bring The Light. Just because it lacked originality.
But whether there were shit sleeves in the past, there are shitloads that were absolutely class! Look at the Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Album Covers! Plus we're not in the 60's so it's not a reference even though they really want that.

History has shown that if the songs are good enough, what the album cover looks like is irrelevant ..As for what I think about it myself....well I'll just say... at least it's unique, haha

That cover says 1 of 2 things to me.
1. We're not taking ourselves seriously here. 2. We ran out of money.
Inclined to go with the first.

Liam is on record saying years ago that the band should always appear on an album cover. Perhaps. But for a debut, I think it's even more important. Either way, it's not a big deal. Let's have the music do the talking singing.
As for the title, it's a bit too blunt. Clearly a gripe to how Oasis broke up, almost wanting to convey a message to Noel that one band member can't destroy his passion. But then again, so what? It's, as the other Gallagher once said, "about the music music music".....

Wouldn't mind if they were having a bit of fun and taking the piss a bit. It be a bit refreshing. But Liam, though occasionally funny, doesn't seem a joker in that respect. I have a feeling that Liam thinks it's the bollocks just the way it is though and that everyone should love it.

What are they thinking? Using a random Internet picture and just photoshopping the title on. What on earth? Well its not a 'random internet picture' its a picture that has been put on the internet. Like all the other pictures. Wouldn't be the first band to use a picture on there album cover. And in reference to your earlier point, I agree with you that Liam no doubt thinks its the bollocks but differ in the sense that he doesn't really give a fuck if we like it or not.
