Beady Eye isn't a great name for a band, Different Gear, Still Speeding is awful, I'm not digging the artwork either.... but there's no way one can say the album will be awful based on that.
I guess the songs will be pretty basic and straightforward (it's Liam we're talking about). I don't expect it to be life changing or memorable, but I do think it will be at least decent, like most LAG contributions to Oasis

It's definitely looking that way. I was really expecting SOTEOTN, but it looks like that won't be released as a single at after the album is out now. Also kind of interesting they're doing a video for a B-side. Maybe the video for SOTS will just be a studio performance one like BTL...maybe using footage from that first clip that used SOST. That's what I'm wondering. Not sure I get why they would film an entirely new video for a b-side... not complaining, mind you, just not sure why.

Love the title. Love the album cover. Love the fact that that its 13 songs. Don't give a fuck that one is called Beatles and Stones (what the fuck's wrong with some of you lot?!)
And love the fact that a month ago we knew nothing, and now its all starting to happen! I admit I was starting to lose faith - I thought we were never gonna hear any Beady Eye!

don't really like the album name, it's not awful like some of you are making it out to be but still, they could've come up with something better methinks As for the artwork... man, i don't know.... how is something like that supposed to appeal to the general public or the random music fan? i just don't get it, not only is it boring, it's also a bad move marketing move.

I know that everyone loves this comment. But seriously...who the hell thought we were seriously never going to hear anything out of them! I mean come on! Overdramatic much? Frankly any reactions so the news we've gotten are going to be a bit reactionary and tongue in cheek. The BaS title is a bit funny you have to admit. The gall of it, I mean. There is nothing we can really say that has any meaning...since none of this information can really be analyzed without the music.

Oh I get it now...the album cover is supposed to be an old newspaper called Beady Eye. that's quite clever. I bet there is cool inside art with the same style. Much like BTL, it's a grower. That original picture was from the 1920's. The little girl is called Doreen & it's an Aligator not a crocodile -

There are far worse album covers and titles. "Hurley" comes to mind.
The cover will stay with you. People will see it in a music store and instantly will pick it up too look closer, which can lead to a purchase. Smart move from them. Also, it's the most Oasis unrelated cover they could possibility come with, which is good, as well.

It's like "Steal this album" - I would never buy it, but if you happen to see it, you're interested immediately.

The artwork might be some of the worst photoshopping I've seen in recent memory.

Aside form the bad artwork, I don't mind anything else.
The cover will be eye catching at the very least.

Lot of hating going on in here. Liam gets really slaughtered for his Beatles references, Noel not so much. I'm just saying...

So is that some sort of special edition? I'm not saying that. All I'm saying is that they went with a news paper vibe. I think it was a very astute observation by Bellboy, actually.

I'd bet heavily it is. The picture dates from 1910/1920, animal rights and health and safety wasn't then what it is now. Another version of the picture, same session.

When you find a Noel song named Beatles and Stones, then we'll talk. lol But yeah, I like the album cover. I don't love it. I don't mind the Beatles and Stones, as long as its good. If the song turns out to be shit, then the title will look like shit, and that can't really be denied. I like the they're 13 songs, I dont see how one can just absolutely love it? Anyone can compare and say "well no one complains when Noel does it" I think people would be complaining if Noel did make a song called Beatles and Stones. Its starting to become a tiring and just lazy arguement. Its almost as bad the camp Liam, camp Noel thing. Grow up a bit. Liam and Noel have always used Beatles references. Noel of course doing Wonderwall, but I can't find many Noel song called Beatles and Stone or Paul McCartney. Its a stupid song title for now. The song title will become good, if the song is good. Same thing with the album cover and with everything else. All that matters are the strength of the songs. If the songs are great then the people who hate the album cover and the song titles ect, will switch and learn to love it, but if the songs are shit or not up to par then the same can be said about anyone who just loves it right now. Its the output that matters. Everything else is secondary.

Wait until Feb. 28 though and these thing will all seem trivial to us then.
