BTL ain't the best song ever, but neither is STC.
Since STC is probably going to be on Noel's solo album
let's have a little vote.
Maybe it's a little unfair to Noel (STC is a demo) but still.
He'll have to do something almost magical to seriously better
that tune.

stop the clocks is great even in demo form
If anyone has any vision they will see where it will be if its ever re-recorded.
i mean, slow songs are considered bad now or...??
The energy in stop the clocks is there towards the end..and i think if its its built more when recorded again,if its recorded again, it will be brilliant.
bring the light can go fuck off as far as im concerned, a corpse could write a better tune than that

Hard to compare these songs... considering STC is only a demo so far and still has potential I voted for Noel.

I'll go with STC. Shows how great Noel is as a songwriter, that an unfinished demo is being compared to a finished song on an album. I don't know what that says about BDI, but it says a lot about how good Noel is.
For me, even if I loved BTL, it would still be a really close vote. Like I said, it says a lot.

STC feels like what The Masterplan would sound like as a demo. The finished version should be fabulous. Classic even. BTL is nothing classic. I dig them both though. Give me STC.

STC is a bit repetitive(the already dead bit) but its not finished AND if i was gonna make that argument, i wouldn't even need to comment on BTL. if STC does ever get finished, then STC all the way

STC is better definitely. But that's becuase BTL is just good, decent. If it was STC vs one of Andy, Gem or Liams DBTT tracks, then STC would definitely not win.

BTL is a great song but the song is so weak at the start that I can't really remember the tune sometimes. STC is a nice song with great lyrics and a unique tune and it's always one of my favorites even in demo form. STC for me  |

Easily BTL for me. STC feels pretty generic and meandering for me. generic meandering rock is tough for me to get into. Perfect for HC!

i doubt it will be on his solo album. i never understood what noel saw in that song. it doesnt have a well defined chorus. just like some little guitar solo right? maybe he was going to add something there with a great melody in the final version. anyway this poll is so bizarre. i cant even pick. they are just so different

However STC IS a good song
However - the amount of times Noel went banging on saying how STC was the best song he'd ever written - low and behold he couldn't be bothered to put it out and record it properly.
For that Noel deserves no credit for the song - lazy bugger!!!!!

Soz for the double post, but I prefer BTL. It has energy seeping out of the youtube video, and Noel can only aspire to making a song as good as BTL.
