Aye, figured as much. Thanks for the explanation. As you can see by the join date, I've been lurking a while but just decided to start posting recently.

Why comparing to STC? Why not Record Machine or If There's a God or Solve My Mystery or Everybody's On the Run?
A very random thread to be honest...

Why comparing to STC? Why not Record Machine or If There's a God or Solve My Mystery or Everybody's On the Run? A very random thread to be honest... Stop the clocks was heralded by noel as the best thing he had ever written, and finally was released in demo form to be revealed as completely underwhelming. BTL is the first release by a band that liam is calling "better than oasis", also completely underwhelming. Don't believe the hype, kids. This ain't 1995.

^^^I still have a problem with comparing a demo with a finished track. Even though the demo might be better than BTL.
In the end STC is a demo and is not finished yet, and may never be finished. BTL is something that has been OFFICIALLY released and it already finished by the band's standards. STC can still grow. In STC, it seemed like Noel was lazy and instead of using more instruments, he just used his vocals as instruments. Perfect example of this is the SCYHO demo. That's a common thing to do while doing a demo. I would still like to hear the instrument parts that Noel probably wanted to be in the song, before I judge him for a demo that was never OFFICIALLY released.
That being said though, I would still take STC over BTL as I said before, because STC is demo and is still just as good as BTL, which is a fully finished and formed song by BDI's standard.
