The song is shit. Pure shit.
I'd love to see a 22 year old Liam's facial expression if somebody played this piece of feces to him in 1994 and told him it was the kind of music he'd be playing when he was 38.
I think Liam would have killed himself on the spot.

I think if you had told a 22 year Liam that he would be making this music he might just have shot himself on the spot. lol

Yeah you're right, I don't really like it i'm just pretending. I won't listen to it ever again, thanks for opening my eyes. What do I like mate? I think I should check with you first. Was he addressing you? Fuck me, tomlivesforever you have been the most annoying turd ever. No one can critisize the song even a inch before you dress them down. He offered his opinion to NL4E, and not you. I mean really I get people defending a tune that they like, but you dont have to jump down people's throats on it. There is a way to voice your disaqreements without being a total dick. He made a valid point. So get the fuck off of his balls. ffs No. It was another member telling people that they only like the song because of other reasons than the fact they just like it. The whining has reached frankly ridiculous levels. If you don't like it fine. But making sweeping statements about why other people may like it is bullshit. He was actually doing something you do a lot, he just said 'people' where as you usually use 'we'. Like your speaking for everyone. I reserve the right to quote and comment on any members post, the same right as they have to do with mine.

When I use "we" I mean as basically myself. If you knew me you'd know that that is how I speak. Like when I've got to get something done I usually say "we have got to get something done". Its just the way I talk. I dont mean to mnake sound as if I'm speaking for a group or that I know other people's motives as you seem to think that you do. And I dont mind that you comment on other people's stuff. Its the way that you do it and the way you've been doing it. There is suppose to be some civility to making an arguement.

I've noticed that the only people that are mentioning people wanting it to be supersonic are the people that like the tune ascribing that attitude to those that don't like it.

There were members on here comparing it to opening Oasis singles, which seem worthless to me. So I commented on it, is that clearer? I didn't assume, I commented on an opinion expressed by more than one member here.

In my opinion - if this was played to Liam when he was 21/22 then he would be all over it!!!!!
You can see the similarities with Lennon's style of writing, alot of his songs in the later days were simpler and straight forward (content wise) and you can see this with Liam.
I love the lyrics in BTL, if people think it's shite then that's their loss.
For me it's a straight forward piece of rock'roll - just like Led Zepellin, Rolling Stones, The Who and so on did for years!!!!!!!!
I'm sure we're gonna get some stand out songs on the album that will make the haters of BTL realise they were wrong to jump the gun.

its a fuckin tune simple as that, seems some people are fairly new to oasis music and to rock n roll music and dont have the ear for this kind of stuff an want guitars and a pounding track which is fine but people are basically saying its shit an giving complete toss reasons for it,ive a feeling its cos theres no noel involved.i dont know what people expected really.did you think they were gonna come an belt out rock n roll star??do you think noels solo record is gonna contain live forever?it might contain a song that pisses over live forever but noone will ever admit it!!to me bring the light is better than most stuff from oasis least few sessions

I have always wondered this myself - not that I think this is bad or what Liam does is crap - but if you played him his current tunes or a clip of him singing live right now to a 22 year old Liam what would he think?

hes still got the voice man,its better at times he just dont have that screaming range anymore, hes older simple as that.he sings abit more now,an you cant compare the runes, its a different era an theyve eveolved abit since then anyways.and p.s to robohump its not 1994 mate,an just remember nobody since has got anywhere near oasis first few albums an may never will.there classic records!infact id go as far to say nobody has ever bettered them as total albums, ist a shame cos any oasis member will alaways be judged against them an can never better em even if they wrote a better album it still wouldnt be beter cos its not allowed to be!

Liam might note have liked this tune when he was 22.
But I think that Liam's musical tastes have noticeably broadened over the years. I don't think that it's a bad thing that Liam is considering musical directions that he wouldn't have considered 17 years ago. Even if the the new direction is just rehashing a style already done...maybe he will someday do something that he hasn't heard before.

It's hilarious how some people are claiming this turd of a song is somehow an "evolution" or a "step up". That everyone who hates it should just "get with the time" and enjoy this "new" and "exciting" adventure Beady Eye are taking us all on.
That is beyond ridiculous. BTL is a rancid, retro, 1950's Jerry Lee Lewis rip-off with John Lennon vocals. It's music that would be played a seniors home on a typical Friday night. It's honestly quite embarrassing to listen to. Ripping off music from the 1950's isn't some new, exciting direction.
BTL has proved beyond a shodow of adoubt that if Liam takes a dump on a microphone, there is a certain percentage of Oasis fans that will say it was a work of art.

It's good enough for Liam Gallagher, Andy Bell and Gem Archer to enjoy and release, but not good enough for some random dude called "Robohump"! Face palm time.

So what's the point in discussing fantasy conversations between a young Liam and an middle-aged Liam? Having said that, I think if you'd have offered the 22-year-old Liam the career and life he would have in the next 16 years, he'd have overwhelmingly accepted and approved. I wonder if any other fans of established artists have the same conversations as we have, you know, people comparing McCartney's new material to I Saw Her Standing There, Yesterday or We Can Work It Out.

So you are arguing that everythjing they release must be good because they think it's "good enough to release"? That is a whole new level of fanboi and it's the perfect example of what I said earlier about Liam taking a shit on a microphone. Richard Ashcroft thought United Nations of Sound was "good enough". Oasis thought Little James was "good enough". They also thought Ain't Got Nothin' was "good enough". Hell, they thought Heathen Chemistry was "the best since Definitely Maybe". What a joke.
