on my third listen now.
Liam sounds great. Its got a nice like groove going on. I like the guitar in it and the piano. It does seem a little longer than it actually is, it kinda drags on a little bit. Some non interesting lyrics in there. I dig the female vocals. Its a solid start.

Has anyone got the email yet with the mp3 or 'wallpaper' stuff ? Still nothing in my inbox
But i must admit its true, it needs a few listens. 3rd listen to now and enjoying it more.
I still think if this was released by any other band or singer we wouldnt be so keen and wouldnt be saying 'great song'

I'm sorry, but this is the first single & last time I checked a first single is suppose to be one of your 4 best songs on your album. If this is one of the 4 best then BDI is in trouble. What do people this just suppose to wet our appetite? This the first song people will hear by them if they released a mediocre song on purpose then they're idiots.
Decent song at best. And its not getting better with each listen. Diappointed by BDI. And I think more people will be too. Especially some people on this forum who are already making excuses or are just in the high of having a new song, or arent willing to say that something that people from Oasis did, wasnt up to par. If this wasnt BDI singing I'd throw it away and most of you would too, if it wasnt Liam or BDI. If this was someone like RADIOHEAD OR Coldplay or something and not BDI, I dont think any of us would give this the time of day.

I can't download it either, just go to youtube -- they've posted it officially.
Opinion: meh. Very underwhelming.

I must admit to me this isnt the first single, its just a promo giveaway to get some hype, granted its not the best tune but its doing its job as in getting the name Beady Eye out there, but yeah we want it to be positive.
Agree with the above, if this wasnt Beady Eye we would be slagging it off it was a song by Coldplay or anyone else etc.
Big shame, i want to like it so badly !!!

Not overly taken by it on the first listen. Almost apes the original rock and roll genre directly; like some cover band at a fifties theme party. It's like they'e thought, 'everyone expects us to mimic our sixties heroes, let's do something from the fifties instead!'. I think the female backing singer is a nice touch but the piano is ripped straight out of the era.
The seeds of a decent idea are there; had they worked this idea in with a few more 'modern sounding' production touches, it may have been better. A less radio friendly hit you could not imagine (unless you were on a 'golden oldies' station perhaps?..) Verdict: John 'Liam' Lennon goes early Beatles teddy boy style. Okay I guess...

Definitely going for a 60's-type of vibe. It's intriguing if nothing else. Not what I expected but not sure exactly what I was expecting. Probably not a great "single" but great track to open an album with, I'd say.

Raw production, wich I really like. 60s vibe, groove, and the Jerry Lee Lewis piano is there like Liam said. I like it!

Ok.
WTF.
That was my initial reaction.
Meh.
After listening to it twice.
Disappointing to get all hyped up to listen to an Oasis B Side. -.-
Liam's stretching the whole classic feel thing too much.

a lot better than expected! love it! What were you expecting? A 4 minutes recording of an elephant with diarrhea? This song is not good at all - this would NEVER have come close to making a single Oasis album - and it's the lead single to Beady Eye's debut album...

And thats gonna annoy a lot of people. You say its mediocre and then say its decent? What do you mean?

If people don't like uptempo piano driven music then they are going to hate this. Simple as.
Good job i listen to a lot of this style of music and it's great to hear Liam have a go off it ;D

very 50s-60s. if jerry lee lewis did psychedelic-inspired music, it would probably sound something like this song. (the backing female singers surprised me, too.)
